![]() A woman I know has an adult special-needs daughter. After a lifetime of caring for her daughter, this woman sought a reading from as astrologer she had seen for many years. She wanted to know what the future held. She spoke with Jerry Thomas, a mystic and a sacred astrologer, in Massachusetts. This woman explained: “Astrologers don’t go near the end of your chart -- when your life ends. I have a special-needs daughter and unlike most parents, one of my terrors is to die before she does. Not many parents have to pray, ‘Please let me bury my own child.’ I am making a final move in my life. I am buying a house where I can age in place. This will be my last move. I’m buying a place big enough to move in her caregiver who will eventually help take care of me. This subject is very important right now. “The astrologer knew that. “He said, ‘I am going to ask you real quick . . . I don’t want you to think about this, just spit out an answer. How many years do you have left here?’ I said, ‘Ten,’ without thinking about it. “I told him I needed to know about my daughter. He replied, ‘What I can tell you, and what you need to know, is that she very much lives off of your energy.’ We both believe in energy fields. I believe that the body is electromagnetic and people share energy. We connect on levels we can’t see. My daughter has always been low energy, physically. Even as a baby, she never stayed up and cried. If she was tired, she fell asleep. ‘Where did she go?’ She’s in bed. She’s asleep. “He went on, ‘What you need to know is that if you go before her, she will not be able to sustain without you. Within a few months, she will follow you. It won’t be long at all.’” I asked my friend if that was a comforting idea. The woman answered, “It was very comforting. That was the huge thing I got out of our last reading.” She added, “It’s funny. He didn’t say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ when I said, ‘Ten years.’ He said something like, ‘I see in your chart that at around age 77, you will have a major physical difficulty.’ It was the correct time frame.” There is an energetic interplay between special needs children and their parents. Psychics have suggested that sometimes a soul agrees to come into a body with special needs: 1) to have the experiences of a special-needs person; perhaps to learn about depending on others, or to experience medical care. 2) to be the catalyst for someone else’s experience. The other person gets to experience caregiving or what it’s like to navigate the medical system on some else’s behalf. 3) to take on an illness or a situation so that someone else doesn’t have to have that experience. 4) to balance Karma. Perhaps they were a caregiver in one lifetime and now want to experience what it is like to be the subject of care. Or, maybe, they harmed someone in a previous lifetime and need to experience what it’s like to be someone who has been harmed, or someone who is not as capable as others. I’m sure there are other reasons of which we are not aware. No one is certain of the universal mechanics behind each life choice. This woman went on to tell me that Jerry Thomas is a mystic and a sacred astrologer. He does astrology as it was done in biblical times. He is also an ex-monk and has written, “The Journey Of The Soul” (January 17, 2005), “Body of Time, Soul of Eternity: Mystical Spirituality” (August 12, 2004) and “Heart of the Mystic: Contemplations of Mystical Spirituality” (August 12, 2004). ![]() At a channeling session in March, I asked about coronavirus. Looking back at the answer, I can see how it applies to our entire situation: coronavirus, civil unrest, and economic collapse. I posted part of this message in April when I was thinking only about health. Now, I am looking at it with a broader perspective. This is the message: “Can you see that the energy which has been brought together expands and exposes people to the awareness that we are all one? What happens to our brother, to our sister, happens to us. There is no such thing as ‘us’ and ‘them.’ It is all one sacred union. It is imperative for this world to understand that if it affected one avenue, it affected all of us. “What a blessing. ‘A blessing?’ you say. ‘How can this be a blessing?’ It will open eyes and minds to the awareness that you cannot harm one part of us without all of us feeling it in one way or another. The reverberation of energy is such that leaders, worlds, and countries, will think two or three times before attacking, offending, starting a situation that would have repercussions for one and for all. There is no such thing as repercussions being only for the target anymore. It doesn’t work that way. It is imperative for this to travel so we can see what affects one avenue, affects all of us. That is more true than not, on so many levels: with health, finances, decisions, being conservative, being aware, being fearful, and/or being indifferent. All choices. “Gather in the collective energy and produce results. The awareness has not yet followed through with ‘You are me, I am you, we are us. We are one unit.’ “In peace and in harmony, reach out to someone who may have been infected. With compassion, with love, with prayers, raise your vibrational energy, raise their vibrational energy, raise the vibrational energy in the whole, complete, oneness.” “You are divine. You are sacred. You are holy. This is all a part of life. “This too shall pass like so many other things shall pass. Then, there will be something else that comes up. Your awareness, your humanity, and Mother Earth are all evolving. “The climate changes. It is a part of life. Learn to cope with it. Whatever way you can help, prevent, or raise vibration, will be how you come together with other minds, other silent majorities, that also feel like you. “These energies provide an opportunity for awareness and growth. An opportunity to see that we are all connected. We are all one, one vibration, one beingness.” Gail [email protected] The woman who sent this photo to me explained:
“The butterfly picture was taken while standing in my kitchen, facing the living room. This was in May, before my near-death experience in August. “I showed the picture to several people who thought it was two angels coming together to form a butterfly because that has always been my motto: butterflies are free. “I remember standing in the kitchen and, all of the sudden, this beautiful light just kept getting bigger and bigger. I always have a cell phone on me so I took pictures. Another friend of mine found it amazing that I was allowed to take pictures. It wasn’t just a split second ‘poof.’ It was more like 30 seconds.” If you have a photo for me to share on the blog, send it to [email protected]. Gail Update: The woman who sent this photo to me added: "I want people to understand that the two angels were way bigger than what the photo shows. I always used the motto, "butterflies are free," that's why I think they made a butterfly figure. Also, photo was taken with a small 2015 cell phone. When I took the pictures, I didn't know how sick I was, so I never thought about what I saw. I know the angels kept me alive. After I got out of the hospital, it took me a couple months to realize the extent of what the angels did for me. Luckily the old phones had those little memory cards. I thought I had lost the pictures." ![]() When I began interviewing psychics, I assumed their lives would be easier than most human beings because they knew more about what was happening, and what the future held, than the rest of us. During the interviews, I discovered that people with psychic abilities still had to work jobs, pay bills, raise children, and deal with life and love. They, too, were here to have human experiences. Today, I’m sharing a blog post from Mark Janssen. Mark is a mystic. He has always seen angels, interacted with G-d, had near-death experiences, and battled demons. In this blog post, Mark explains why being a mystic/psychic isn’t easy. Here’s Mark: “Many times over many years I’ve heard it said what a great life I have. Being an unconventional person with unconventional gifts, my life is easy compared to everybody else in the world. “I’m a mystic, a psychic. “I’m clairvoyant, clairaudient and a whole bunch of other clairs. In theory, I am not supposed to have any of these gifts and abilities. I make powerful people uncomfortable. That bit of social determinism, in turn, has been passed on to the world in general. If we truly fit into neatly defined little boxes utterly lacking in uniqueness or originality, we would be dull as dust. “The fact of the matter is that I have always had these gifts. Whether or not I use them, to whatever degree I use them, varies moment to moment. “My life is supposed to be better than other peoples’ since I know things. I can see things. I know what’s worth pursuing and what is not. “That’s true. Sort of. But not really. “Generally speaking, I can see what is going on from a spiritual perspective. Finance, politics, sports -- things that have a lot of people involved with a lot of variables both human and other – somewhere along the line I lost interest in following from the front. It’s possible that I could use my psychic intuition to investigate who will be the next American president or what will happen with the stock market over the next X number of years. “I could, but I don’t. It’s simply not worth my time. I figured out a very long time ago that humans are incredibly irrational. You can get them to sit down to a large turkey dinner every November, but to ask them to vote every fourth year for the people who will best serve their long-term interests would take a miracle. Not even God wastes His time on that whopper. “I could spend my time on the stock market. Lacking the socially acceptable college degrees, nobody wants to pay to take my advice. So, I keep it to myself. Life is just fine like that. “The reality of the situation is that no mystic or psychic has a free pass in life. We all have to deal with the same things as everybody else. Rent, food, clothing, we deal with all of the same bills as everybody else. We have to hold nine-to-five jobs because other people are rarely willing to pay for our knowledge and services. Humans are, in my experience, cheap and unwise. They foolishly want us to give away what we know and perceive. “That is not how life works. “Psychics are like car mechanics or plumbers. If you don’t pay for our services, we can’t pay our bills. It’s that simple. “If you have never been without a home or wondered where your next meal will come from, I am just one of many psychics who can tell you what that’s like. We have knowledge of things that can’t be learned from books. We also have human lives to live. “A year or two ago I performed an exorcism on friends’ home. After I’d left, they found a hole in a wall where I’d dragged out demons who had been hiding from me. I threw the demons outside and batted them over a courtyard wall. The soul of my twin brother and some of our friends from heaven were waiting there. Those devils will not be back to bother anybody any time soon. “That’s what I do when I’m not busy with other things. “In the midst of an epidemic I spend most of my time reading at home. I answer some questions. I deal with life outside these four walls as needed. Much of that has nothing to do with what you might consider normal human activity. “Rather, it’s my norm. “It’s dealing with spiritual matters where and when I am needed. It’s letting other humans do whatever it is you do. Lord knows, all of my life I have found humans to be a strange lot. Others, in turn, have found me to be at least as much an oddity. “Being mystic, psychic, whatever, is no ride in the park. It’s harsh and unrelenting. There are no days off. No coffee breaks. There are no times when someone comes to relieve us of our work until it’s all over and the lights go out. “Not until it’s time to go Home.” Mark is LinkedIn blogger. ![]() In the last week, I’ve had to disengage from two people with psychic abilities who also espouse political conspiracy theories. It’s too much for me. It’s not just the theories, but it is the mean-spirited intent behind the information being shared which makes me have to cut off these relationships. I wonder, “How can people who espouse spirituality and have psychic gifts, believe in and promote anything mean-spirited?” And, why do they mix the spiritual and the political? I asked a couple of my psychic friends why they thought this happened. The first one told me that everyone sees life through their own filter. Even people who are psychic/spiritual/enlightened will believe the things which make sense in their lives. What I don’t understand is the meanness. I asked a second psychic about this and he wrote a whole blog post regarding conspiracy theories. This is an excerpt from mystic Mark Janssen’s blog post. “Some people who are psychics, who are supposed to be spiritually enlightened, believe in political conspiracy theories. “The first thing to remember is that we are all mere mortals. PC theorists can use their free will to espouse whatever they want. Doing so does not make them spiritual. It does not mean that they are exercising their spiritual gifts or talents in any way whatsoever. It means that they are indulging themselves in what are, in their social circles, politically correct theories. “Espousing such theories under the guise of being spiritual is utter rot. It displays spiritual immaturity. It may well help to explain why I am not a fan of those men and women who would waste their time—and mine—with such nonsense. “The kindest thing I can say to them is it’s time to grow up and put on your big boy pants. “If you espouse conspiracy theories, expect to find yourself cut off from people. You may have known some people for a long time. You may think you’ve known them well. But you have placed some not-so-spiritual ideas before your friendships, before the relationships which spiritually tied you to the Divine and each other. “Political conspiracy theories are wild-eyed tomfoolery which drive humans apart. Truly spiritual people are those who constantly work to tie themselves to that which is outside of themselves. PC theories are narrow and confined. They fail to bring us to the life of the Spirit.” You can read the entire post by clicking here. Synchronistically, today’s Huffington Post had an article about why people believe conspiracy theories. One of the things I took from the article was that people try to organize information so that they can understand what is going on. They take two completely different facts and link them together so they have a story about what is happening. My example: The sun is shining. My husband’s neck hurts. Sunshine makes his neck hurt. This example has no facts. No underlying truth. But it appears to explain my husband’s neckache. It doesn’t. The only thing which could make this theory worse is to take it to the next level: We must obliterate the sun to reduce neckaches. Then, we move to “The other political party refuses to obliterate the sun.” You can read the Huffington Post article by clicking here. Instead of believing whatever we read, we need to look for facts. We need science. We need to listen to people who are experts in their field. Not just the outliers, the experts too. The thing about science is that it evolves. Maybe we thought something was correct two months ago. Now, we have new evidence, so scientific advice changes. And the science will continue to change. These updates are based on facts, not on whimsy or political advantage. I like to think that spiritual people hope for good outcomes for everyone and are willing to pull together to make the world a better place. I’m naive. I want to think that people who tap into mystical sources are spiritual all the time. However, they are human too. Maybe that’s the answer. There is a tension between high-minded and being in a body. Sometimes, enlightenment wins. Sometimes, being human wins. When enlightened people espouse theories I don’t agree with, I can at least wonder if there might be some truth to the theories. But when they promote meanness, I am out of there. Bye. Gail [email protected] ![]() After last week's blog post about the area between life and death, a blog reader sent this photo to me. She said, "The figure walking towards me, I feel it was my brother-in-law who passed away many years ago. I was in an old town hall where he would’ve frequented." She felt that this figure had protected her during a near-death experience two months later. She asked me to share this photo with you. ![]() Today, I would like to share a few things I have heard about the grey area between life and death. We all know what it’s like to be alive in a physical body and we may have a sense of what it is like to be alive as a spiritual consciousness on The Other Side. What about the area in between? Some psychics have told me that when they are doing readings or meditations, they go way out into the non-physical universe. Prior to his death, my friend Randy said he spent as much time on The Other Side as he spent on this side. Another psychic told me that when she went way out during readings, it was sometimes difficult to get her consciousness back into her body. John Hunter said something similar. He explained that when he visited the non-physical universe, it could be difficult to come back. He had to step down his energy to fit it back into a body. People who die naturally and are resuscitated often recall near-death experiences (NDEs). They have a clear recollection of all, or part, of their experience on The Other Side. Some psychics recall NDEs complete with the tunnel, the Light, and the choice to stay or to go. People who had been through NDEs told me that dying didn’t hurt, but coming back into their body hurt. When they died, they felt light weight and extremely peaceful. Coming back into their dense bodies, which had been ill or in accidents, was very painful. People who are held in drug-induced comas often report a different kind of experience. I’ve read a few books written by people who went through this situation. Their experiences were more confusing, and less peaceful, than the experiences of people who had survived natural comas or NDEs. We will have to see what COVID-19 patients report after their drug-induced comas. On the other hand, one woman told me that when she was in a drug-induced coma, she remembered being in a very peaceful green room with healing energy. She did not experience an NDE. It was more like being in a state of suspended animation. Another woman said that when she was in natural coma (not drug-induced), things were very calm. She didn’t feel alone. She knew there was a presence with her all the time. She thought he was Jesus. One psychic did a reading on someone’s aged, ailing dog and reported that the dog, Vincent, didn’t care if he was dead or alive; it was all the same to him. He was not ready to exit, even though his body was tired. He didn’t see the difference between the vessel and his continuous energy. He had the wisdom to know that when the body wanted to be shed, he would keep going freely until he decided to incorporate into another body. He was living in that in-between state. Prior to death, some people seem to slip from one world to another, then back again. Hospice workers have written about their observations of these patients. They have listened as the living have conversed with the dead. In some cases, people aren’t sure what to do. Should they stay? Should they go? During a channeling event, Leah Taylor brought this message through: “A lot of times, as someone is leaving their body and going to The Other Side, they will feel that they need to come back to tell everybody that it is okay on The Other Side. They will try to get back in their bodies. They think, ‘I’m just going to tell them it’s okay and then I am really going to go,’ and then they end up being in the flesh again and going through more of the disease process; or the death process takes longer.” She added, “As humans, it’s wonderful to have glimpses of The Other Side so you can see that it is okay. These glimpses give you faith because you know from personal experience, because you remember, because you have touched that in Spirit or in meditation.” I think sleep provides another grey area. Sometimes people slip to The Other Side, experience vivid dreams or out-of-body travel, then return to their bodies and wake up. Psychics have told me how they can work in their dreams. They can astral project and help people in need. They can experience a world beyond their bodies, then wake up in the morning. Fascinating stuff. Let me know if you have had similar experiences.
