I asked: How do you do it? Do you hear voices? Do you see things?
I hear a very strong voice. I thought that everybody had that voice until I was about 19 years old. At that time, a psychiatrist told me that it was not normal to hear a voice.

Does it sound like your own voice or does it sound like someone else’s voice?
It depends on the level of the intuition. If it’s kind of coarse, grounded and practical, it sounds like my voice. If it is a bit different, like a conversation, it is applicable to relationships and health. When I connect to the Holy Spirit, it is extremely loud and not my voice.

Nice people surround us. When we get fed up with the daily news and begin to think that everyone is an idiot, remember that good people exist.

Yesterday morning, I caught my toe on the bottom corner of a door. You know how you bump into something and it hurts? Then you look at your toe and see that it is fine, or that you tore a nail? Well, I looked down to see one of my toes shooting out at a 90 degree angle from normal.

My husband took me to the ER and you know what? The staff was pleasant, competent, and nice. My toe looked terrible. It actually looked laughably ridiculous. I wasn’t in too much pain. An ER visit was necessary, but this wasn’t a life-threatening emergency. No rushing into surgery or anything like that. Everyone took the time to be nice. It restored my faith in humanity. A lovely reminder that good people exist.

Last week, Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed into spirit. She was a person of integrity who worked for justice and equality in America. She was a good person, a leader. It is wonderful to see that kind of representation in public life.

Right now, most of us attend fewer activities and have fewer people in our social circles. We spend more time in our homes, or in small groups. We use our computers for social interaction. Let’s not focus only on our limitations; let’s also focus on our joys. Our neighbors are still reliable. We can talk to them from a few feet away. Our Peanut M&Ms are still delicious. The sun still shines. My toe has been set and points in the correct direction.  :)

What we focus on, expands.

If you are having trouble finding good people in your life, be that good person. Be the person you would like to admire. Send a bouquet of flowers for no reason. Tell someone how much you appreciate them. Write a letter. Send a card. Remember when spirit said that when we uplift one, we uplift all? We can do this.

Life is a joy. Life is a banquet. Great adventures await us. Each of us is an anchor of light. Even though our social circles are smaller, we have much to celebrate.

       Idea from a Channeled Message  -         Ancient Mystery Schools

This information came from a Guide:

What you are learning is exactly what was taught in the ancient mystery schools. Before the ancient schools of your knowledge, a body of knowledge was carried down through all of time on this planet and there was always a percentage of people who carried the knowledge. You are part of that percentage on this planet at this time.

This knowledge was common. In the coming down of that knowledge, it has been sifted and adorned with belief systems and garments of gold and silk, but that is not necessary. What is necessary is taking that knowledge and turning it into action.

The function of a mystery school is to convince your consciousness that you can do whatever it is you wish to do.

Here’s something I didn’t remember. We each have a Master Teacher who is with us for several hundred lifetimes. This teacher assists us in ascending to our next level.

Our spirit group includes angels, Spirit Guides, friends on The Other Side, our Higher Self, and Source. Each plays a unique role. In addition, we can bring in experts to help with particular issues and projects.

Your Master Teacher, main Spirit Guide, and Guardian Angel are with you 100% of the time. If you speak with a psychic or a Medium, you can easily access these three energies. To communicate with any other energy, you need to invite them into the conversation. The instant you think of them, they will be there for you (if they are available), but you have to ask.

Your Master Teacher’s obligation is to see that you achieve your goals. They assist you in reaching your next level of ascension, no matter how many lives it takes. If it takes a thousand lives, they remain with you.  

A Spirit Guide is usually with you for four or five lifetimes. They are part of your soul group. They are a bit above you in spiritual awareness. They are not far above you, but they have the broader view of seeing your life from The Other Side. In fact, you and your Spirit Guide may switch out: one life they guide you, then you take a turn guiding them.

In addition to your main Spirit Guide, you may have other Guides. Similarly, in addition to your Guardian Angel, other angels can bring messages and watch over you.

Individual teachers can be called in for expertise on specific subjects. For example, if you need help learning about healing or help with writing a book, they can provide assistance.

According to one psychic, “Your Spirit Guide sits right in front of your chest. Your Master Teacher is on one side of you and your Guardian Angel is on the other side of you.”

Last summer, I visited the National Spiritual Alliance in Lake Pleasant, Massachusetts. At one time, Lake Pleasant had been a large spiritualist summer camp. Now, it is mainly one building with a beautiful sanctuary where classes are taught and psychic fairs are held.

Louise Shattuck and David James wrote a book, “Spirit and Spa”,* about the history of Lake Pleasant. Reading their book brought me back to a peaceful time in history. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, people left cities during the summer to spend weeks, perhaps months, at camp meetings. The Lake Pleasant spiritualist camp in Massachusetts was very popular from about 1870 to 1930, when trains brought people to the lakeside community. Initially, people lived in tents. Over time, the tents were replaced by cabins. Then came hotels and restaurants. Unfortunately, much of this infrastructure burned in a fire in 1907.

People went to the camp for a summer of entertainment. Bands played three times each day. Visitors went boating and swimming. In the evening, dances were held at an open air pavilion. There was even a roller skating arena. Ice cream was available. Activities included speakers, costume parties, cakewalks, card games, and hot air balloon rides.

Mediumship was the icing on the cake. In addition to the other activities, you could attend seances and mediumship circles, or have private readings.

According to the book, there wasn’t much to the spiritualist philosophy at the time. The basic tenets were that souls existed beyond death and that you could communicate with them. There was a disagreement about the possibility of reincarnation and this argument split the spiritualist community into two organizations.

These days, metaphysical interests have expanded well beyond the original ideas of spiritualism to include personal meditation, healing work, remote viewing, past-life access, and all types of psychic work. People enjoy communicating with their spirit guides, angels and Higher Self.

In many cases, information from the unseen comes through spirit guides. This is an interesting excerpt regarding one Medium’s spirit guides from page 98 of the book:

    “My grandmother was 89 when she died in 1936. None of her guides stayed with her to the end. They all came one night and said they wouldn’t be back any more, that my grandmother’s health was too poor. Trances take a lot out of a medium and my grandmother didn’t have the strength to withstand them coming anymore. So they bid us all goodbye.”

The idea of spirit guides leaving someone surprised me a bit, although I have heard this from a couple of living psychics. Their guides left them for one reason or another. I suppose that could be another blog post.

“Spirit and Spa” contained many photos, a very nice component.

Several spiritualist communities still exist, including Lily Dale in western NY state, Cassadaga in Florida, Harmony Grove in CA, Camp Chesterfield in Indiana, and Ephrata in PA.

Up until this summer, you could visit the communities and have readings with psychics and Mediums. This summer’s pandemic shut down some of these activities. You can contact each community to find out if they are open to the public.  

I enjoyed reading about the camp meeting lifestyle, however the book was a bit dry. I would have loved to read more about the Mediums, the spirit circles, and the information which came through.

Of course, when I read about spiritualist history or visit a spiritualist community, I hope to have a “deja vu” and remember myself at one of these places. It hasn’t happened yet, but it might.

Quote from a Channeled Message - Things Always Work out for You

“The more you know and understand everything out there, the more you know and understand everything inside of you. The more you realize that connection, the more you are in harmony with all things and the more things ‘just work out for you.’ Things are always working out for you, and that is what you expect. That is what you find. That is what is natural. Allow it to flow. Expect it, know it, be grateful for it, and more will come. And more will come again.

“It is never ending. There is no limit. That’s right, beloveds, there are no limitations to what you can do, be, or have. None. How far will you let yourself go? How far will you go in any one direction? It is all up to you. And you can change directions, and change your mind, at any time. Nothing is set in stone.”

This is a time of chaos and change.

A couple of years ago, I asked Spirit why the people on Earth created so much negativity. The answer was that Earth was a place for learning and experience. There needed to be a mix of energies and challenges so that people could react to them and grow. To move forward, people needed both the high vibrations and the low vibrations.

Challenges give us choices for response. We can get sucked into negativity, or we can observe what is happening, then jump in to help everyone move in the direction of our choice.

This was the message:

“Turmoil? This is human nature on the lower level and the lower vibrations. Stirring up will always be. There will always be those who tend to stir up things. That is their purpose in life. To keep those vibrations enclosed or limited does not work, for they also create an opposite reaction, creating a tremendously aware society. Your society has grown by leaps and bounds in respect and peace. Even if it’s not totalitarian, there is that underground layer that is growing stronger and stronger by feeling, seeing, and sensing, injustice and disharmony. All the dust stirring is being felt by the next generations. It empowers them and makes them stronger to say, ‘It needs to be different. It needs to be different.’

“There will not be an individual [to solve this]. There will be leagues of individuals coming up, wanting things to be different because the status quo will not do. That is coming from the bottom up and that is the only way that this can change. For, our dear, you have had leaders. You have had prophets, you have had God-essence itself on Earth only for that dust to be pointed at the very sacred light. The way for Mother Earth to raise her vibration is from the grassroots up and it has happened generation after generation after generation.

“The Earth is not done. It is not done in its evolution, in its growth; nor is the evolution of humankind done. It is in process.

“We give you the example of remodeling. We give you the example of making a new home. We give you the example in the middle of cleaning the yard. It is in the middle of the debris that one says, ‘Oh no!’ but when it all is completed and comes together, it falls into place and we understand why things are the way they are.”

A few Thoughts from a Conversation on Destiny

Destiny is something which happens in this lifetime. Life purpose can continue onto The Other Side and into future lives. Or maybe it’s the other way around.

People come in with a plan, then life happens and their plan changes. Most people achieve a portion of their destiny in this life. The rest of this life will be devoted to surviving this life, understanding this life, re-learning what you need to know, and getting the answers that move you along this path of destiny.

There is a progressive understanding and growth that moves you into higher and higher resonances and vibrations. As you explore the third dimension, you are returning to Source. As you traverse dimensions of reality, you are learning, and in that learning, you are contributing to the whole understanding of the experience of this third dimensional reality.
