First, the reading I got was very good and the psychic was lovely. She had quite a few suggestions for me.
Second, I always enjoy a reading with a psychic who knows nothing about me. I feel like I can sit down, see what comes through, and know that the information hasn’t been influenced by anything I’ve written online.
When I sat down with this psychic, I told her that I didn’t have any questions, I just wanted to see what came through. She was fine with that. At the beginning of the reading, she got a few insights about me. However, it wasn’t until I asked a question about writing another book that quite a bit of information came through. I have to remember that when I ask a question, it opens the energy for the psychic to receive an answer. I had not opened that line of energy until I had asked the question.
What I realized, afterwards, was that when I sit down with a psychic who I don’t know, I have to decide if I am going to be an observer/reporter, listening to whatever comes through, or if I am going to be an active participant, asking questions, providing some information about my life, and knowing that by giving information, the psychic might get clues as to how to answer my questions.
There’s no right or wrong here. It’s a question of perspective: do I want to be the observer or do I want the personal information?
Throughout the rest of our reading, I received additional information on my writing because I had asked that question. At some point, I shifted into interview mode and began asking about her abilities and how she had realized she was psychic. This conversation was fascinating and I’ll write more about it in another post.
What I missed out on was the opportunity to ask about my children and my friends, or to connect with someone on The Other Side. I could have tried all of that. All I had to do was ask.
Observer or participant? In psychic readings and in life, we get to choose. Next time, I’ll ask more questions.
If you want to know more about how to have a successful psychic reading, read my twelve tips on the “What do Psychics Do?” page of this website. I suppose I should review them too!
Book News: Many years ago, I interviewed Melody Krafft. She is a Medium, a psychologist, a spirit communicator, and a visionary artist. She sees, and sketches, individuals on The Other Side. Since childhood, Melody has seen people who have crossed over.
Melody remarked, “I can see The Other Side and I can draw what I see. I can do drawings, then match them to photographs. I don’t always know who I am drawing. Sometimes I have to depend on the sitter to say, ‘Oh, that’s my mom.’ Then they can pull out a photo and match it.”
Melody noted, “The whole purpose of mediumship is healing. It is not a form of entertainment. When people realize that we don’t die, it takes fear out of their life. When you remove fear from a person, it opens them up to new experiences. They realize that they are not limited.”
After our interview, I published our conversation, and many of her drawings, as a Kindle e-book.
Now, Melody has written a book of her own, “Get me out of Here! What’s beyond this madness.” In this book, Melody describes each human’s spiritual path and the three stages of awakening. Melody’s book is available on Amazon, where people can preview and/or order the book.
Melody also has a website full of ideas and sketches.
Isn’t it nice that so much information is available on our spiritual journey?
