I’m posting photos of a few of things we stumbled upon. Interestingly, there are many things to discover, such as a 26' high Marilyn Monroe statue and a home with a yard full of robots, dinosaurs, toilets, and carnival rides, known as the Robolights home. Honestly, we were driving down the street and lucked into this place. We also saw the “Naked Bridge,” a pedestrian bridge which connects two sections of a nudist resort.
While in Palm Springs, we located the former homes of Frank Sinatra, Dinah Shore, Lucille Ball, and Elvis.
We also spent time with family members who were visiting the area and renting a mid-century modern home. It was great to catch up in person after 3 ½ years apart.
East of Palm Springs, we toured Joshua Tree National Park and stopped at the General Patton Memorial Museum which featured tanks.
Back in Palm Springs, the downtown area is lined with shops, restaurants, and bars. One thing which surprised me was the number of metaphysical rock shops. I found two of them very close to each other. Then I found, “Crystal Fantasy,” a shop with tons of rocks, books, crystals . . . and psychic readers. Who knew? Of course, I had to sit down with a psychic who knew nothing about me and have a reading.
Our reading was long on minutes, but short on information specific to me. I think I know why: I didn’t want to provide any personal information, I just wanted to see what came through. I probably should have asked more questions. I’ll write about this reading after I’ve listened to the recording. Remember how I always tell you to record your readings? I recorded mine on my smart phone. At this point, I can remember a few things she said, but most of the reading is a blur.
We had a nice long weekend, but had to scoot back to Tucson ahead of the “atmospheric river” which was about to pound CA.
Enjoy a few photos:
