This week is the 15th anniversary of this blog – a blogiversary. I’ve been working with psychics for such a long time that I’ve already forgotten what I learned at the beginning of this journey. (LOL) However, I imagine that all that knowledge has become a part of me.

I could write several books about what I have learned. I’ve written one, but have lost interest in writing another book. Instead, I’ll keep blogging out the information, one post at a time.

What are the things which have surprised me while doing this work?

1) One thing is how often psychic predictions do, or do not, come to pass. When they come to fruition, I am astonished! What fun! When they don’t happen, there are many explanations, such as, “People have free will. They decided not to go down that path.” Whether the predictions happen or not, it’s fun to think about them and to imagine the possibilities.

2) I often receive messages which are as much for the psychic as they are for me. I hear what they say and realize it could apply to both of our lives . . . and sometimes more to their life than to mine.

3) I loved hearing about the cycle of lives – how we live, cross to The Other Side, review, make a plan, and reincarnate. It makes sense to me that each lifetime builds on the experiences of the previous lifetimes. And, hearing from souls on The Other Side makes this concept real.

4) I am happy to hear about the amount of support we receive from energies in the non-physical world. Our Spirit Guides, angels, teachers, supportive friends, and G-d, are here to assist us. We just have to ask.

5) I found that some psychics have difficult lives. Before I began this work, I thought that their lives would be easy because they knew who to date, what job to apply for, or how things would work out. I found out that they don’t always know those things about themselves. What they want to happen can easily influence what they think they hear will happen. In the meantime, they still have to make a living and pay the bills. This can be difficult when moving between realities.

6) One of the most-delightful surprises was how many messages I received about how well I was doing in my life. These messages made me feel great. They gave me self-confidence.

7) Another surprise was that I received some extraordinarily good advice during psychic readings. I didn’t have people in my life whose opinions I respected. In real life, I had rejected a lot of bad advice. Then, a message would come through a psychic about something like how to raise my children and it would make so much sense! That was great.

8) I was also stunned to discover how easily some Mediums can communicate with people who have crossed. Several times, I spoke with psychics who had trouble connecting. Then, "boom!" I would meet someone who had a quick, easy, clear connection. So cool.

10) I came to look forward to the feeling of being in a psychic reading or meditation. It’s magical. The peace and tranquility are something I look forward to.

Here are few extraordinary things I heard about my life:

a) Before I met my husband, one psychic told me that he was coming and that we would have two children of the same sex; and we did!

b) When we were looking to buy a house, one psychic told me it would be in the northwest and it would be pink; and it was.

c) When I worried about needing to get a job to pay the bills, one psychic told me that my focus needed to be on raising my children. She said that I had a contract with G-d to take care of them. The money would work out. It did.

d) Because I had a difficult mother, I often asked psychics about this situation. I received two kinds of information: coping strategies for our interactions and explanations of why things were the way they were. This information helped me so much!

Then, after my mother passed away, I continued to have contact with her and I discovered that she wasn’t that much different on The Other Side. She still didn’t want to talk to me or acknowledge things which had occurred. I had thought that she would pass into spirit, review her life, and want to make amends. Nope. At least, not yet.


As I look back, I can see how much working with psychics has enriched my life. Their insights have been about so much more than predictions. I found a community of mostly-nice people who were interested in thinking about big ideas and looking at the interactions of mind, body, and spirit. I have made some terrific friends!

I am on a wonderful journey. I hope you are too.

Someone asked me about the difference between a Psychic and a Channeler, so I thought I would spent a bit of time exploring this topic today.

Psychics and Channelers do the same kind of work, but have different audiences. Psychics generally work with individual people. Clients ask questions and psychics provide answers. Channelers are more likely to work with groups of people and to bring through universal information. For example, a client may ask a psychic whether or not to accept a particular job, but a group may ask a channeler about the universal concepts of money, energy, or manifestation.

Psychics and channelers receive answers from non-physical entities. Psychics work on a personal level, while channelers work on a universal level.

These days, I listen to quite a few channelers. I record and transcribe the messages which come through.

There are three variations of channeling:

1) The first kind of channeling occurs when a psychic has a conversation with an entity who is not in this dimension. This is a casual kind of channeling and is often the basis for psychic readings. When a psychic, in their mind, asks a question on your behalf, hears the answer clearly and relays it to you, this is an easy-going form of channeling. This is known as "conscious channeling."

Similarly, spontaneous channeling often occurs when I interview psychics. The psychic will be answering my questions about their life, then their voice will change, and their answers will become richer and more detailed.

2) The second form of channeling is more complex. In this type of channeling, the psychic goes into a meditative state and allows entities to speak through them. The psychic opens to the entities, but the psychic remains in control of the body. Entities speak through the channeler, but they do not take over the body. The channeler can move their consciousness to another area of their body and allow the energies to use their voice.

3) A third kind of channeling is known as "trance channeling." When this occurs, the psychic goes into a meditative state and feels as if they have stepped out of their body. Entities are allowed to take over the body and speak, using the person's voice. I saw this several years ago when information was presented about life and death, and why souls come to Earth. Amazing, life-changing information was brought forward.

Channeled messages come from energies which are not in this dimension, and who speak through people I know and trust. When I hear the messages, I know they are not from the person's imagination. The messages have a different syntax and often use arcane words, such as “Ye” and "thyself."

Channelers bring in concepts which are new, educational, and apply to the entire world. This kind of spiritual work has broad applications. It explains how life and the universe work. On rare occasions, I have heard long, channeled messages about life in ancient times and about life on Earth prior to recorded history.

I have a wonderful position in this world of energy and information. I am allowed to hear and record messages. Even more astonishing, is that I am allowed to ask questions about topics which fascinate me. Sometimes I ask how healing works, or why there is suffering in this world. Other times, I ask about Mother Earth and the environment. Often, I ask about what happens after death. The answers I receive are generally consistent with each other. Sometimes I like the answers and, sometimes, I have trouble accepting the answers. But the answers are always profound.

Working with psychics and channelers has opened my life to a magical world.

I’m not sure if anyone is interested in this kind of thing, but I heard something remarkable which I want to share with you. There is an idea that when someone is in distress, it’s possible for a “walk in” to help them. What does this mean? What I thought it meant was that there was one soul in a body and that that single soul could invite a second soul into their body to help them out. So, two souls would share a body in order to bring strength and energy into the original person’s life.

Are you with me?

The question I asked was, “What happens after the first person makes it through this traumatic period of their life? Does the second soul stay with them? Does the second soul leave and go back to The Other Side? How does this work?"

Through a psychic channeler, I received surprising answers to my questions.

1) When a person needs extra reinforcement, it is not necessarily a second soul which comes into their body. It is more of a vibrational energy which empowers, or assists, someone to help them through a difficult situation.

It is “divine empowerment,” like a meteor of energy which comes in and empowers that soul.

2) When that additional energy is no longer needed as a strong presence, it is assimilated. It transforms to fortify that person’s aura energy. It does not “walk out.”

3) This is only one type of “walk in.” There are two types. The second type of “walk in” is one you may have seen on TV or in movies. In this case, the soul in a body is overwhelmed in some way and chooses to leave. At the moment of death, a second soul exchanges places with the first soul and takes over the body. It slides in.

After a traumatic injury, prolonged illness, or near-death experience, you may have heard a loved one say, “You are like a new person. A different person.” An exchange of souls might be the explanation.


There is so much we don’t know about how life works. There’s always more to learn. But isn’t it interesting to get these glimpses into life/energy/souls? I think so!

Psychics often talk about the feeling you get when something happens. “Feeling” is our immediate reaction to something, or someone, before our brain has a chance to kick in. “Feeling” is the goosebumps we have when a psychic says something which rings true. “Feeling” is the tool we use for manifestation. We create with intention and with feeling. Feeling is the bit of “oomph” that makes things happen.

One of the most delightful feelings is being in a reading with a psychic who we know and trust. There is an electricity to that moment. Then, information starts flowing and life is all electricity and goosebumps.

One of the times I felt this the strongest was when I was in a reading with Gigi Sample. Really, it felt like we were sitting in a mild electric ball of positive energy. I don’t remember the information which came through, but I strongly remember the feeling.

So, I’m sad to report that Gigi passed away a few days ago. She was a light in this world. She had an education in business; however, that line of work didn’t suit her. Spirituality was her life’s work. She became a full-time psychic.

Oddly, I had met Gigi years before she became a psychic. Our daughters were friends in middle school. We took our girls to each other’s birthday parties. I had no idea that years later, after she had moved around the country several times, Gigi would show up at a Tucson psychic fair as a reader! Wow. So cool.

Over the years, we did several readings and I introduced her to my friends. I interviewed Gigi for “My Psychic Search” in 2010. If you’re interested, you can find her interview as a kindle e-book. Her insights are also included in my book.

When I interviewed Gigi, she told me we were entering the Age of Aquarius. It had an orange/pink vibe. She said that people would start waking up and that teachers would need to be ready when the masses began asking questions. My book was to be a source of information and explanation for people who were awakening. Gigi gave me great hope for a more peaceful, enlightened, future Earth.

She said:

“Who knows when the Aquarian Age started, but we are in it now and it is about the waking up of humanity. We are in the infancy. This is the lifetime we have been waiting for. We are in the ‘past-life teacher reunion.’ That is why you click with some people. I call it the past-life teacher reunion because every teacher from a past lifetime is here this lifetime. We might have skipped other lifetimes together, but everyone is here (or coming) this lifetime, to make this shift.”

When I asked Gigi how information came to her, she shared:

“I feel things and I hear things, then I double-check them in the cards. Any way that you work, your Guides know that that method is how you resonate. For example, if I decided to be a tea-leaf reader or a numerologist, the Guides would know how to give me the messages through that method. They know us better than we know ourselves.”

“The validation is usually a feeling. I get a huge body rush. I get goose bumps (Guide bumps!). The Guides know that I recognize goose bumps as a validation. I have known for years that when I get a huge body rush, we are on the right track.”

Gigi added: “Some people think that the work I do looks easy, but they don’t understand that people are asking me about things which will shape major decisions in their lives. It is a huge responsibility.”

Gigi and I hadn’t seen each other for the last few years. However, we were Facebook friends, so we knew a bit about each other’s lives. Even though we hadn’t spent much time together, I held her in my heart as a wonderful energy. I hope that she has moved on to a beautiful area, where all feels well again.

Thank you, Gigi, for being part of my life. Writing this, I have goosebumps all over again.
