But what if a physical ailment persists?
I had a discussion with a few healers and this is what they told me:
Healing happens on many levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. We can heal ourselves and we can assist others in their healing. Because we have physical bodies, mental bodies, emotional bodies, and energetic bodies, healing can work on any of these levels individually, or it can work on all four at once.
While we can heal ourselves to some extent, some issues (such as broken bones) need medical doctors. And, sometimes, medication is the answer.
I asked why healers couldn’t completely heal themselves. If they could help others, couldn’t they help themselves?
First, people explained how healing works.
Healers bring in energy and facilitate a vibration. The healing energy doesn’t go to a specific location in the body. If somebody says, “I need you to heal my knee,” that's not the way it works. Healers send in light, then Spirit directs its travel.
Also, the person who wants a healer to work on them, has to ask for the healing. They have to be willing to accept the healing vibration.
Reiki is one form of healing. A Reiki practitioner can take in energy and send it to another person. Acupuncture is another healing modality.
When a practitioner brings in healing energy and sends it to others, they also heal themself. Energy can’t be drawn through the body without some of it sticking. Some of the healing energy which flows through the healer, stays with them. Nice to know.
As for their own bodies, the healers gave me a couple of examples of how they had mended ailments.
One person shared, “When something hurts, it's a vibration. When you're happy, you're at a vibration. When you're normal, you're at a vibration. When you're in pain, you're at a vibration.
“I have enough awareness to know that I'm at a vibration which hurts. I respect the vibration. There are many layers of skin and cells. When I don’t feel well, I put space between the pain. If I am calm and centered, and put space between the pain, it's not as oppressive. It takes a lot of work. I put space in so the cells aren't hitting each other. It's like bubble wrap. They aren't bouncing off of each other.” Eventually, the issue resolves itself.
Someone else shared how they had healed a back injury by visualizing a tiny angel with a vacuum cleaner coming in to sweep up the internal debris from a blown disk. It took a while, but the back had healed.
Second, they gave me a few examples of why people cannot be healed.
A. Karma
“There are karmic debts that you have agreed to rebalance before coming into this lifetime. Often, they surface as a physical difficulty. More often an injury than a disease, but it can be either. You take those on to balance karma.
“Those issues may still be healed, and they may be healed by you, when your Higher Self knows that the debt has been paid. The energy has been re-balanced.”
For example, perhaps in a past life, someone had tortured others. In this life, they may have unexplainable aches and pains. This person needs to learn compassion for others and has to deal with some payback for what they had done.
B. Lessons
One reason we can’t heal ourself is because whatever we are experiencing has something to teach us. We are going through a lesson or an experience which we agreed to try when we wrote our life plan.
C. Genetics
Some physical bodies are more prone to specific ailments than others. It’s just part of the ups and downs of being in a body.
In addition, some people voluntarily take on a disease or an injury to keep it from going forward in their genetic line. This is where it stops.
Wrapping up: Love is the best healing vibration – love of self and love of others.
Please remember that as we are going through an issue, we can ask for assistance. We can explain to our Guides, angels, and G-d, “This is a bit much. Can you adjust? Can you lighten?” We may have agreed to a certain amount of distress, but we also need to know that there are legions assisting, helping, guiding, alleviating, and raising vibrations. In opening ourselves to receive, we are assisted in ways greater than we know.
Joy is healing. Beauty is healing. Tranquility is healing. Peace is healing.
I feel pretty good today. How about you?
