Try Something New

Last week, I was part of a conversation about alternative health strategies. People were talking about topical THC for skin issues, cannabis oil for sleep, arnica for healing, and energy balance for . . . everything. These strategies have been beneficial.

For most medical advice, I turn to western medicine, but there is a lot I don’t know.

I sell crystals at the Psychic Fair. Some people can pick them up and feel the energy of the rocks. Some psychics recommend crystals for assisting with life’s challenges. I believe the psychics know what they are doing and that they help their clients. Personally, I don’t feel the energy of the rocks, but I think they are pretty, they can’t hurt, and they may be useful, so why not try them?

I feel the same way about Reiki. I always feel good when I leave a Reiki session. Has it cured my ills? I don’t know, but it didn’t hurt anything, and I felt better.

I hear about the benefits of bath salts, turmeric, magnesium, and visualization.

Acupuncture used to be an alternative practice; now it’s mainstream.

I feel the same way about talking with psychics. Most of the time, I gain useful insights. Some of the time, I hear things which don’t sound right or don’t come to pass. However, I always come away with topics to think about. It doesn’t hurt and it often helps, so why not try it?

In fact, I know that certain modalities such as SRT for energy separation, and mediumship for reassurance of life after death, have helped me tremendously.

2020 Predictions from The Operator

Hooray, it's 2020!  Or, as I like to think of it, 20/20: The Year We See Clearly.

Many of us are wondering what will come in the year 2020. This is a different sort of question from one we would have asked about the new year ten years ago, because the world is a different place now.

What do I mean by a different place? In case you haven't heard this elsewhere, the fabric of reality, the substrate we're living in, has changed. When the Mayan calendar ended in 2012, it signaled the time for a new game. We're living in the new game.  

Creation is different now. In the old game, the fabric was more dense, so it took longer to see the results of your desires manifested. Along with the longer process came more feelings of being a victim. When you can't see how you've played a part in creating your situation, you're more likely to feel like a victim.

In this new game, the main question is: What do you want? The fabric of existence has changed to the point that what we want matters more than the current state of the world around us. It's hard to imagine this, but it's true! Now, your desire to win the lottery, and all the things you desire to do with the money, actually have more influence on future events than the astronomically poor odds of winning. One person who is clear about what she wants is more powerful than any statistics.

We've been seeing an embodiment of this new style of creation in the President in the White House. Even though the President didn't win the popular vote, he won the vote on a soul level. We were ready for his bombastic behavior.  

Our President is the embodiment of having power for no good reason other than wanting it. He represents this new sort of power we all have. In him, we're seeing it in its extreme form. He selects something he wants, then pushes for it regardless of any input from outside. It isn't appropriate behavior for a public servant.

Many people want to remove this President from office, but doing so requires our developing intense focus on our own desires. The President will be re-elected in 2020 unless enough people become ready to begin creating the way he does.  

Even though the President's actions are instructive about creating in the new reality, many of us know we want to be nothing like him. The difference between the President's behaviors and where we're headed is a focus on the common good. When enough of us learn to use the President's same style of creation, but for the common good rather than for selfish aims, his term of office will end. The President's term of office may end by impeachment or election or any other method, but it won't end until we have changed enough.

So, take a minute and think about what you want. This new game operates in a way similar to that of artificial intelligence: Everything you think and do creates a new pathway for life to flow into. So, when you fantasize about being surrounded with loving friends, for example, you make it more likely for everyone to be surrounded by loving friends.

In reality, life has always been this way, that we were creating it as we went. However, the world around us was so slow to respond that we usually couldn't see that we were the cause of things. So, effectively, we weren't. If something cannot be perceived, then it isn't relevant to the perceiver's experience.  

Now, molecules vibrate faster. Our actions have a faster response in the world around us now, to the point that we can see our creative power in action. Our behavior and attitudes have to shift to those of a creator rather than a game-player. Start thinking about your actions as creating the game for everyone else, rather than only for yourself.

For example, let's suppose you have a habit of becoming depressed every winter. You've done it for years, and it works for you. In this new game, your depression has more consequence. When you go into depression and think depressed thoughts, you're actually creating pathways for depressing events to occur in everyone's life. Are you sure you want to continue to indulge this habit? It doesn't seem so harmless when you're creating the experience for everyone else, does it?

Given this new style of creation we're living, predictions for the new year seem to be more about sensing what is wanted than about reporting on pre-written future events. What I see for the United States of America in 2020:

The White House:  

The country isn't ready to be finished with this story yet. I see only 30% readiness to be finished. If Biden or Buttigieg wins the Democratic nomination, it will be a sign that we haven't changed enough, and the incumbent will be re-elected. If another candidate receives the nomination, the incumbent will be voted out.  

Chances are slim that we will change enough in time for Congress to remove the President from office before the election. I see only 5% chance of this. However, the impeachment process and trial will be a valuable one for all.  

In addition to learning a new style of creation from this President, we are learning about narcissistic abuse. The Republican party represents the family of an Abuser. We will continue to see in their behavior all the tactics that Abusers' families use to defend their abusive loved one. Just as President Clinton's abuse of his office with Monica Lewinsky changed mainstream attitudes about men's using their power sexually, President Trump's abuse of office will change mainstream attitudes about narcissism.

If the impeachment and trial process continues through the election, which is a possibility -- as awkward as it sounds -- there is a better chance of his being removed from office. Currently, we are about 40% ready for a removal after re-election. Enough people have to reach the point of being frightened by this President before we will give him up.  

The Lottery:

There will be two high-profile lottery jackpot winners in 2020. These people won't be high-profile at the time that they win but will become famous for what they do with the money. Mainstream thought will enjoy the idea that large amounts of money can be used to help people, and momentum will build on this idea.  

By 2021, winning the lottery jackpot and being helpful with the winnings will have become even more popular. It's a little far ahead to predict, but at this point I suspect the number of high-profile winners in 2021 will be about seven.

Money:

Public focus will gradually shift from the misdeeds of our political leaders to the actions of people who do good things with their money. Tom Steyer represents the beginning of this wave of popular thought. He is a true visionary. He won't win the Presidency, but a few years after the election, he'll wonder why he wanted to. He can do more being an activist with his money than by holding political office.  

Money spent toward a vision for the public good will eventually become more powerful than money spent on luxuries. I don't see the details of how this will happen. Partly, it will be the natural result of our living in an economic structure that's crumbling. Eventually, those who have no generosity in their hearts will begin working for the public good simply because it's the popular thing to do. I see this transition in mainstream thought being complete by 2025. By then, we'll all be much better at creating in this reality, so we won't feel so helpless.

Domestic Violence:

Domestic violence rates will decline as the popularity of doing good for the public increases. This is because there will be less reward for narcissistic behavior. They will also decrease dramatically when this country enacts a guaranteed income for all, because victims will feel less stuck with their abusers. Guaranteed income will be in place, or at least in the formative stages, by the end of 2025.

Health Care:

Unfortunately, health care will continue to be a frightening issue, and people's medical bills will continue to pile up, throughout 2020. I see no improvements in this area until mainstream thought has shifted enough toward a "we" feeling over an "I" feeling. At this point, I see us at only 20% feeling like a collective. There will be no shift in health care issues until we make it to 80% feeling like a collective. At our fastest evolutionary pace, I see us reaching 80% by the end of 2021, but I think it's more likely that we will reach it in 2023.  

I don't expect to see any improvements in the health care crisis until 2023. At that point, it will feel embarrassing that we're in such a mess. The profiteers who have been creating the current debacle will start to back off because it's no longer fashionable to make huge amounts of money off of other people's suffering.

Technology and Social Life:

I feel pleased to report that our social lives will not be made any worse than they already are by personal technology. People's isolation caused by staring into screens has reached its maximum. Surprisingly, a personal device technology will be released by the end of 2020 that makes people more likely to interact with others. It will be a slow process, but gradually people will remember the pleasure of interacting with people directly rather than in cyberspace. Currently, socialization happens only 30% in person. By the end of 2020, this proportion will be 40%.


In summary, the main message of the year 20/20 is that it's time to FOCUS. Think about what you want, for real. Endeavor this year to give more thought time to your desires than to your beliefs. Belief is becoming less strong all the time, while desire is increasing in power.  

When you desire something that's good for everyone, you're suddenly as powerful as the most powerful creative force in the universe! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with your new abilities.

            Overheard at the Psychic Fair

I’ve been like this my entire life. I’m finally connecting the dots. I seem invisible to people. They don’t see or understand me. I’ve had some weird experiences.

Everyone I’ve met in my life is just a different version of me: the one who got married, the one who married her high school sweetheart, the one who had kids. All these versions of myself.

Every interaction you have shows you something about yourself. It’s a question of whether you see it or not.

This has turned into a profound thing.

My cell phone has a feature where images pop up to “Remember this Day.” The first time the phone sent photos to me was in February 2019, right before the first anniversary of my mother’s death. Two days before the anniversary of her death, a photo of her on her deathbed popped in. The day before her "death-aversary," another photo popped in. On the anniversary of her death, there was no photo (after all, she was dead – who would want to see that photo?).

I thought this was a pretty amazing message from her, or the universe, or Verizon.

During the year, a few more “Remember this Day” photos popped in. One came on the anniversary of Randy’s death. Randy was a very spiritual man and a channeler.

A few came on random days, but not many. This may have happened four or five times last year.

Monday, January 13, was the anniversary of my father’s death. I remember thinking, “Oh, my phone won’t pop up a picture because my father died so many years ago that there aren’t any photos of him on my phone.” And then, the photos appeared. The unveiling of my mother’s headstone was on the anniversary of my father’s death and two photos of her unveiling popped up. A twofer. Heard from both my mother and my father.

Coincidence?

If you look for signs from those who have crossed over, you might find them. Even if you aren’t looking, they might come straight to you.

First, I want to thank all of you who asked about my husband’s health and who sent prayers, Reiki, and good wishes to him and to me. It was heartwarming to receive your messages online, via text, and at Sunday’s Psychic Fair. He had his surgery on Friday and came home on Saturday. Everything is going well and he is regaining his strength. Thank you for your good wishes. :)

Second, I want to share my experience of visiting friends and relatives in the hospital. This isn’t about my husband; it’s a broader conversation.

When I visit my friends in the hospital, they are either awake, asleep, or being held unconscious by drugs so that they can heal.

When people are awake, I help them pass the time with interesting stories and conversation. Being alone in the hospital can be boring and tedious. I also advocate on their behalf, making sure their nursing needs are met.

When they are asleep, I’ll stay for a while, sit in a chair, and send good vibes their way.

When they are held in an unconscious state, I will sit close to the bed and hold their hand if that is possible. As I hold their hand, I fill myself with love and healing, then try to send this loving energy through our hands. It feels good to bathe in this kind of time-independent state of energy transfer.

When someone is in the hospital with a serious issue, they may have the choice to remain alive or to pass to the other side. It is completely their choice. I sit with them and I pray that they have the strength and the courage to do what they need to do, whether that is to recover or to slide onward. It’s not my decision to make. It’s not my place to beseech the universe for their recovery. It is my place to love them and support them in their desires.

Years ago, a channeler brought through messages of how to help those who are between the realms and deciding whether to stay or to go. The message was to let them select what is best for them. We are not to beg them to stay on our behalf. This causes the kind of confusion where they might be ready to go, but they feel they have to come back to tell us that they have been to the other side and it looks fine. They don’t want us to worry. However, in coming back to share that insight, they can get stuck in their body and suffer through more of the disease process. It is better to support them and wish them well with their choices.

On the other hand, I have preferences too. While I know it is the other person’s decision to make, I can express my desire that they stay. I love them. I want them in my life and they should know that. Yet, I respect whatever decision they make.

Of course, it is sometimes the case with the elderly or the very ill, that it might be best for them to let go and move on. They can recover on the other side. We must acknowledge this situation too.

After they pass, we can send them the strength for an easy transition. Again, it is not our place to implore them to stay with us. This kind of desire works at cross purposes and can confuse the spirit. Our longing for them may delay their complete crossing to the other side. Instead, let them go, with love.

Around the world, patients lie in hospital beds. When we are not in the hospital, it is easy to forget the life and death decisions being made every day. Let’s send healing energy to all those who would like to accept that energy. Let’s pray for their strength to make their best decisions and let us accept the decisions they make.

Anticipating Surgery

My husband will be having surgery soon. We’ve known about the need for surgery for several months. We have been fortunate in that we haven’t had much surgery in the past. This is a relatively straight-forward procedure, but it’s daunting for both of us. What will happen? Will the procedure be successful? Will our lives change afterwards? We hope the surgery will be successful and all changes will be for the best.

People go to psychics to have a clue about the future. I want to know, in advance, that my husband will be okay. Can a psychic help?

In November, I asked two psychics about my husband’s health and prognosis.

One psychic told me about my husband’s personality and who he was, but couldn’t see the future. I was hoping to get some kind of assurance that he was going to be okay.

She said, “I am hearing, ‘It’s not up to me to say exactly what is going to happen.’ ”

The second psychic could see the health issue clearly – a blockage to be removed. In fact, he made a sketch of the blockage as he was reading for me.

He said, “I see some sort of surgery happening to remove something. I see him being okay after the surgery. There is a lot of recovery to do.” He added, “There are things that the angels don’t know. That only G-d knows. They are showing me this thing. I don’t see any cancer. I feel like it is something small that could be removed. It is obstructing something. It is pressing against something. I see it red. That’s my sign for inflammation.” He was right. The biopsy came back: no cancer, just an obstruction.

The psychic went on to tell me that the issue was not life-threatening, but he couldn’t tell me all I wanted to hear about a happy outcome. He told me that he was not allowed to know too much or to tell me exactly what might happen. If he did that, it would be like “playing G-d.” Not allowed. I thought that was an interesting twist on psychic insights. They could see some things, but not everything. And, even if they had an inkling about the outcome, they would not be allowed to share it.

I came away from these readings feeling unsatisfied. I had wanted to hear that everything would be peachy – successful surgery, successful outcome. At the time, it didn’t seem like this is what I heard. Looking back, the second psychic did say “no cancer,” and he was correct. He also said that my husband would be okay. I am looking forward to that. Let’s get this surgery out of the way and move on to a good new year.

That’s the news from my life. I wish all of you a healthy, happy, prosperous new year. We are off to a rocking start.
