Psychics tap into non-physical energy and information, and make it physical. In many cases, they hear words or phrases and speak these words aloud to make them tangible. We can write the words down, translating the non-physical into the physical.

Some psychics see images. They can make these images physical either by describing them in words, or by replicating them as art, such as paintings and drawings.

During this project, I interviewed two spirit artists, Susy Plummer and Melody Kraft, who communicate with their clients, create art, and find that their clients know the spiritual nature of the art. For example, Susy drew a picture of a woman and discovered that her client recognized this woman as her deceased mother. Susy couldn’t have known in advance who she was drawing, but the client recognized her immediately.

At last weekend’s Psychic Fair, I saw Barb Wilcox. She is a healer. At this fair, she also had  paintings on her table. When I asked about the paintings, Barb told me that they were images which had come to her psychically and she felt compelled to replicate them as paintings.

Barb remarked, “I’m a visionary. Since the war, I have had a lot of visions, especially at night. My newest thing is my paintings.”

At the bottom of this page, you can view four of Barb’s paintings. Barb can explain them to you.

Painting 1: This is the bombing at night. The sparkles are the souls. The darkness is when the bombs hit; these are the souls which are raising up. I see these colors constantly at night. This haunts me until I can get it out. Then, I feel so much better.

Painting 2: This is the Russian ship going down. The blue is the water. The sparkles are some of the souls coming up.

Painting 3: Some of these paintings are total chaos. These are people who don’t even know that they died.

Painting 4: These are angel wings. I see visions of angels when I pray at night. Some are huge  archangels. They are like giants to us. We are like little ants compared to them. I always ask them to help us. I pray for peace.

The message I got was if we can help share peace and love, it would be multiplied. That is why we are out here doing this. We are hoping to spread love. Love is the answer for all of this.

The angels are there, around all of us. We should use them more.

I asked, “Are they helping with the war?”

Barb answered, “We have to ask them. They are not going to do anything unless we ask them. I ask every night. I wish we all would.”

Please ask your angels to help bring peace to Ukraine and all of the world.

It clicked. I heard a phrase which tied together several stories I had been told. The phrase? A “Shared Death Experience.”

A couple of years ago, I wrote about Sandra Easley who “walks babies to the edge of The Veil.” She can see into the next world. Turns out, this may be more common than I had thought.

Raymond Moody and Paul Perry’s book, “Glimpses of Eternity - Sharing a Loved Ones Passage from this Life to the Next” (2010, Guideposts, New York), explains this phenomenon as one type of Shared Death Experience.

You may recognize Raymond Moody’s name from his extensive work with people who had Near-Death Experiences (NDEs). He was the person who collected the raw stories, then tried to make sense of them. After publishing the NDE work, people began telling him about things which had happened to them while their loved one was dying. In his new work, he collects stories from healthy people who have had curious experiences at the deathbed of a friend or relative.

In my work, people have told me similar stories.

* One woman remarked that as her father was dying, she asked her deceased sister to help him. The sister materialized and helped their father. My friend saw this as it happened.

* A hospice worker told me that at the moment of death, she sees a mist rising from the body of the deceased. She assured me that this is a common experience among hospice workers and nurses.

* Cyndi Clark explained that when her mother was dying, even though the mother was unconscious, Cyndi could psychically hear the mother conversing with people on the other side. This event opened her desire to learn about parapsychology.
 
People don’t have to be in the room with the dying to experience these phenomena. Sometimes, they have an odd dream or experience, then find out that their friend or relative has passed.

People who are in the room may experience the event along with the person who is dying. According to Dr. Moody, bystanders may have seven potential experiences. Some people have just one of these phenomenon, other people have several of them.

1) Change of Geometry: The room seems to change shape, perhaps becoming like an hourglass or a vortex, and there is a feeling of being in a different dimension.

2) Mystical Light: The room fills with an unusual type of bright light. Sometimes, the light seems to emanate from the dying person’s body.

3) Music: People hear beautiful, complex music, without a source for the music. In one case, two people in the room with the dying person heard the music, and so did the person downstairs in the kitchen. She came upstairs to find out what was happening.

4) Out-of-Body Experience: Observers will lift out of their bodies along with the deceased. They will float above the room, acknowledging each other. People realize that the dead person looks happy. Seeing that the person is happy and well, is a wonderful antidote to grief.

5) Co-Living a Life Review: Bystanders feel a surge of energy, then go through the life review with the dead person, even seeing things which may have happened before they met. One wife saw her husband’s dating life prior to their meeting and was later able to find photos of the women in his high school yearbook. Another woman saw her son’s private life and later recognized people, and visited places, she had seen during the life review.

6) Encountering Unworldly or “heavenly” Realms: The witness enters the heavenly realm with their loved one, up until a certain boundary. At that time, the deceased person moves forward, and the living person returns to their body. This explains Sandy’s ability to walk babies to the edge of The Veil.

7) Mist at Death: People may see a mist rising from the dying person’s body. Some people say it looks like fog, or like smoke from a candle which has been snuffed out. The smoke wafts upwards. Sometimes, it seems to form a human shape. In other cases, bystanders have seen the deceased rise from their body and walk away.

A few years ago, I asked Enza Piazza, “Do you see the soul leave the body?”

Enza answered, “Yes. When they take the last breath, I have seen a mist leave the body. It’s gone. People think of death as being such a hard thing, but it’s actually beautiful. There is a fruity smell at the end. It’s the body shutting down and the spirit moving on. It makes a full circle. Closure. In an instant, people leave this Earth. The body says, ‘I’m done’ and the spirit goes.”

Dr. Moody didn’t list this as one of the phenomena, but there are several stories of people seeing or hearing deceased relatives who are in the room with the person who is dying. They share the person’s deathbed visions.

Of course, not all people have these experiences when they witness someone’s death.

People who have had a shared death experience with one person and have had a second loved one die, may not have had the same experience twice. Why? No one knows.

When discussing near-death experiences, scientists often suggest that the hallucinations of a dying brain cause people to see the tunnel, see their relatives, and begin a life review. In the case of Shared Death Experiences, normal, healthy people are having these experiences and no such explanation applies.

1) Responses. I want to thank everyone who responded to last week’s blog post about me missing my psychic friends and about purchasing a new car. I received very practical car-buying advice and I received all kinds of spiritual advice, like how to attract the car of my dreams. All thoughtful and useful messages. I loved hearing from you!

2) Psychic Fair. For those of you who have been asking, there will be a psychic, intuitive, art fair on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express at 11075 N. Oracle Road, Oro Valley, AZ. Admission is free.

3) Channeled Message. On Tuesday, our channeling group met for the first time in nearly a year. I’ve missed my buddies and there they were – so much fun!

During the meditation, a psychic channeled a message regarding the conflict in Ukraine. I was so pleased to hear a new channeled message about . . . anything!

Here is the short message:

“In this time of the world, it is important that we meet as often as possible. The love that we share, and the love that we send out to the universe, specifically out to the world at this time, will be a tremendous help and healing energy. It will bring the world more and more into balance; more and more at peace.

“That which goes on in the other part of the world, we have not seen the worst of that yet.

“As we share with the world our intention and our awareness of the love and peace within each of us, it will be a gift to the world, bringing it more into balance and more at peace."

4) Celebrations. This is a big religious weekend. I want to wish a “Happy Passover” to everyone who celebrates Passover, and a “Happy Easter” to everyone who celebrates Easter.

Most of my friends have blended a bit of the religion in which they were raised, with a bit of new age spiritual thought, with a bit of reason and logic. This thinking creates delightful combinations.

My husband and I have a big purchasing decision to make and we are not certain what to do.

Since the pandemic began, I haven’t been to a psychic fair or had an in-person reading. My channeling group hasn’t been meeting. I have been left alone in my decision making and that’s been okay – I haven’t had to make a lot of big decisions.

Today, we are thinking about buying a new vehicle and we aren’t sure which way to go. While I don’t rely 100% on psychics’ advice, I sure would like to hear, “I see you in a blue car,” or “I see you in the red truck.” At least I would have a hint!

We talked with one salesman who pitched a vehicle as, “Take it or leave it.” Instead of focusing on the vehicle’s attributes, he reminded us how hard it was to order a car and that if we didn’t want this full-price vehicle, someone else would. I want to be more excited about getting a new car. I want to fall in love with the car. I don’t want to buy it just because if I don’t, someone else will.

It’s funny how we accept/reject advice. It’s odd how a salesperson’s demeanor can affect a sale. It’s weird to buy a vehicle, sight-unseen, because there aren’t any new cars on the lots. It’s more pandemic fallout – a lack of computer chips.

Anyway, while I don’t abdicate my responsibility for making choices, I appreciate the insights which psychics have shared over the years, related to these decisions.

Psychic work isn’t just about contacting our deceased relatives, or knowing if the stock market will go up or down. Sometimes, it's about more day-to-day kinds of advice, like when to make a phone call or who to trust at work. And, sometimes, it's an off-hand remark made by a psychic which neither of us knew was a reading, but later realized was quite important.

So, what do you guys see? Red truck? Blue car? Yellow and sporty? Green sedan -- That’s the car I have. I think I’ll keep it.
