At a channeling, a message came through that COVID would last quite a while because people were unwilling to release their thinking that it was just like the flu, or it couldn’t harm them, or it wasn’t real. They didn’t want to look at the facts. They didn’t want to see the evidence that healthy people were dying or that cases were rising in areas with lower rates of vaccinated people.
Spirit said, “It will be gone in a year and a half, totally, from countries that are now in crisis. It is forcing people to confront their belief systems in order to get rid of it from their country. That confrontation of ‘It isn’t real,’ or ‘I am not going to get it,’ or whatever they happen to believe, will be faced with the reality of COVID. That will change their mind. They are kicking and screaming to not change their mind, so it will take a while.”
There is also the belief that souls don’t die so what’s the worst that can happen with COVID? A person dies and their soul moves on. It may be fine for them, but think of the sorrow felt by their family and friends.
Life’s challenges provide opportunities to examine our belief systems and decide if we want to continue with them, or update them. At every point, we can assess our position and make a new choice. We can choose love or fear. We can choose integrity or lack of integrity.
I like to think that most people are good; that most people will make decisions which benefit themselves and society. COVID has challenged this assumption. I’ve seen some pretty crazy stuff and heard some pretty outrageous ideas. I am completely floored by leaders who knowingly lie. How can they live with themselves?
Making this more complex, I’ve heard from psychics that our mass consciousness affects reality. If enough people think that vaccinations will get us out of this mess, they will. If enough people think masks will kill them, they will. If enough people think that this pandemic is nothing to worry about . . . what happens? They won’t worry . . . but illness may knock them out. I’m having a problem with logic here. If people believe that the pandemic will go away quietly, on its own, will that happen? Following the logic, the pandemic would just disappear. I don’t think enough people hold this assumption, so I don’t think this is going to happen. At some point, faith meets facts.
If they look, people can see the lower death rates in vaccinated populations than in unvaccinated populations. In areas without vaccinations, hospitalizations are soaring.
We can be spiritual and scientific too.
I’m moving forward. I want to get beyond this pandemic. I want to travel. I want to go to indoor parties. Somehow, we have to encourage people to release outdated assumptions which hold them too tightly to the here and now, so that they can flow into beliefs which create a better experience, tomorrow, for all of us.
