I asked several psychics if they teach classes. Morgana Dragonfly told me that she is running a workshop series for people who want to find and develop their psychic abilities. She holds classes on the second Saturday of each month at the Mystic Candles shop. Workshops run from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Morgana teaches classes on Tarot card reading, palmistry, pendulum use, creative visualization and scrying. Toward the end of the year, she will present a Professional Psychic Series which includes four workshops for people who have some psychic ability, but have not stepped up to the professional level. One class is about clients, one is about bookkeeping, one is about taking students, and the fourth one is about keeping your sanity.
Morgana commented that to be a professional psychic, you have to have the mindset which says, “I am worth being paid what you are paying me.” You have to be bold enough to say, “That’s $30 for 15 minutes.” Part of keeping your sanity is learning to value your time so you can ask for money without feeling like you are cheating someone. That is the hardest part.
She added, “The reading is only one third of the experience. Another third is what they hear, and the third part is what they remember tomorrow. People remember what they need to remember. If they swap things out or bend them a little bit, maybe that’s what they needed.”
According to Morgana, nothing is predestined. “Even though I do a reading for someone, I can only tell them where they are going. If they don’t like the outcome, they can change directions. They can change the reading, but they have to do it intentionally.”
