After two articles on suicide, I want to write about something cheerier today. How about Valentine’s Day? Romantic Love? Long-term Love?
Love is love, whether it is for a person, place, pet, or thing. It’s a feeling of joy or compassion which comes through us as we encounter the object of our affection. Revel in that feeling.
One channeler shared, “Love is an energy. It is a thought form. It is a process. It is an experience. Of all things that are upon this planet, love is the greatest key of all. It opens the hearts of humanity. It opens the hearts of loving relationships. It opens the hearts of friendships.”
I recently created a series of Valentine Art Hearts which stand on their own. I wanted to develop a gift which would be seen every day - not something which withered, was consumed, or was thrown away. I was inspired with an idea and I was able to make it tangible in this world – that is one of the delights of being in body.
I wanted to celebrate the idea that there is more to love than romantic, first-phase, love. Have you noticed how many items are out there for people who are falling in love? What about people who are in long-term relationships? Where are the songs for mature love?
My favorite Art Heart says, “The longer we are together, the better it gets.”
This Valentine’s Day, let’s celebrate new love, old love, love for self, love for community, and love for humanity. Let’s celebrate love for family, friends, pets, animals, and Mother Earth. Let’s cherish our connections to our Higher Self, Source, Spirit Guides, angels, non-physical supporters, and Master Teachers. We can delight in our bodies, minds, and souls.
There are so many things to love and we are an infinite fountain for bringing love into this world.
