How do we know this? One way is by hearing from people who are aware of these stuck souls and help them cross to The Other Side. Nathan Castle is one of these people. He wrote a book entitled, “Afterlife Interrupted, Helping Stuck Souls Cross Over” (Fluid Creations, 2018). He also coined the term “Interrupted Death Experience” and used the word “stuck.”
When these souls might be ready to move forward, but don’t know how to do that, they come to Nathan in a dream. Later, while awake, he works with a (living) prayer partner to contact these souls and help them move forward. This generally involves having the souls ask for someone they trust to guide them forward.
In his book, Nathan recounts the stories of more than a dozen people who he has helped. Here are three examples:
1) One woman was raped, then murdered, and didn’t want anyone to know her story. She was too mortified to move forward.
2) One guy wasn’t ready to move on to Heaven, but knew his former wife would be dying soon and wanted to be able to greet her when she crossed. To do that, he would have to cross too.
3) One person made what he considered to be a stupid driving mistake which led to his death. He was too embarrassed to move on.
An added twist – Nathan Castle is a Catholic priest. The Catholic Church doesn’t generally support the concepts of psychic ability and contacting the dead, but Father Nathan explains why his work is consistent with Catholic doctrine. Nathan Castle, O.P., is a member of the Dominican Order.
After working with hundreds of souls, Nathan wanted to include some of them in his book. Months, or years, after working together, he contacted the souls a second time to ask permission to include their stories in the book. During these follow-up contacts, the souls often provided information about how their thoughts and lives had changed since moving to Heaven.
Father Nathan listed the take-aways from his work. Here are 10 of them:
1) Most souls go directly to Heaven. An interrupted death experience only happens in a small percentage of deaths.
2) All human beings survive their death.
3) No one dies alone. Each person has a guardian. Each person is greeted by loving helpers.
4) Souls are respected. They have choices.
5) Time is different after death.
6) There are many kinds of learning experiences on The Other Side.
7) The afterlife is a non-judgmental zone.
8) Souls have some kind of body which others recognize.
9) In the afterlife, souls can still check in on loved ones on Earth. Two-way communication is possible.
10) Souls can choose the guide who escorts them to the afterlife.
I enjoyed this book. I have spoken with several mystics who do mass clearings and help those left on battlefields to cross over. This book was a bit different because it presented individual cases in which the souls explained their personal reluctance to cross to The Other Side.
The book was also different because it was written by a Catholic priest. He spent time explaining Catholic ideas and why his work should be acceptable within his religion. He was kind of caught in-between his personal experience and Catholic ideology, but there was no denying personal experience.
Once you’ve experienced this kind of thing, there’s no turning back.
You can find "Afterlife Interrupted" online and in local libraries.
