For years, I’ve repeated, “We are all in this together.” Some people agreed, but the broader public didn’t seem concerned. Now, we see that what some individuals do, affects all of us. People who scoff at social distancing advice may be carrying disease back to their homes and communities. The virus spread is a physical example of the impacts we have always had on each other. When we affect each other in non-physical ways (mentally or emotionally), we don’t see it. When we touch each other and spread a virus, we see impacts plainly.
Our vision of who we are in the world is becoming clearer. Are we helpers? Are we hoarders? Are we hiding at home, or using our time in isolation to enhance our lives and assist others?
When we look at other people, we can see the positive impacts of empathy, compassion, and leadership. We can also identify people who lack these traits and act only in selfish ways. True colors. No more covering their core traits.
Are we hoarding or sharing? Are we concerned about people? Only concerned about the economy? Aware of the need for balance?
Keep in mind that what we wish for others is what we receive. It’s human nature to want to see the people we don’t like, suffer. It’s a higher vibration to wish that everyone move forward with the situations which assist in their growth. It’s not our place to judge. Our role is to observe and to hope that people learn from personal challenges. We hope that they discover compassion.
What can I do to make the world a better place? I wrangle with that every day. Can I write something useful? Can I create art to inspire people? I may be home, but I still want to contribute to our world. Would you like to read blog posts more often? I could do that.
For some people, long stretches of time at home can be boring. For us, we may finally have time to meditate and send good vibes to the world. We can strive to raise our vibration so we help the earth system rise in vibration. We can listen to our Guides and angels. Not hearing anything? Use this time to sit quietly and try again.
The stock market is down and the economy is uncertain. If you are in a solid financial situation, make a donation to a good cause. Food banks. Doctors without Borders. The Red Cross. Help an elderly neighbor (without getting too close).
Celebrate all victories. Yesterday, the grocery store had food. People in the store were polite and kept their distance. The bakery was still producing all kinds of goodies. Chocolate was abundant. Things could be so much worse.
Stay home. Stay safe. Find a way to help.
We are all in this together. We may live or we may pass. Either way, we will be okay.
