I, The Operator, predicted feelings of secession in 2022, particularly in Arizona and Oregon. Although I haven't kept up well with national news, I've noticed that Kari Lake, nominee for governor in Arizona, announced in 2022 that her state needs to "fire the federal government." Also, I understand that some counties in Oregon were trying to secede from their state in 2022. I predicted a lot of pain, by which I meant emotional pain, around these debates. I can't say that I've personally felt any pain about it here. If anybody from Arizona or Oregon wishes to report on how it's felt, please speak up.
My ability to predict the future has diminished lately, as I relayed in my 2023 Predictions, Part I. So, instead of trying to predict the future, in this column I'm using my metaphysical skills to assess the present:
Our political drama with Donald Trump is 94% finished. Still more to go. I hope being finished with the political drama means being finished with other public dramas with him, too.
It seems to me that we are 74% finished with the destructuring process begun by the coronavirus. So, I wonder: Does this mean that we'll have another wave of problematic infections? Will a different virus come along to finish the job? Will long COVID be enough to pull us down? Will side effects of the vaccines break us apart?
I prefer to think that the remaining 26% won't require any more breakdown in our physical bodies and rather will be a long roll-out of the social and economic destructuring that has already occurred.
There's a wave of gratitude I feel coming from somewhere. It's gratitude that humanity has handled this destructuring so gracefully so far. Good job, us.
When I ask about the remaining 26% of the destructuring process, I hear that it's about being more serious. Some people have stayed playful in areas where they have to buckle down and really change.
When I ask what the key is for people to become more serious, I hear that they should just be glad for change. Life is change, and change is good. (Easy for non-physical entities to say!)
I hear that our mental health right now depends on an ability to accept insecurity. May I recommend we think only about love? Nothing else seems to be working.
