“On the other side, it’s harder to learn lessons. It’s much easier to learn lessons on Earth. The lessons are harder here, but it is easier to learn them.”

 Two of my friends, and I, have elderly dogs. We love our “fur babies,” want them to live long lives, and don’t want them to suffer at the end. All three dogs have a lot of trouble getting up – their hind legs don’t work the way they used to work – but once they are up, they enjoy going outside and they love eating snacks. Yes, they are happy to be here.

The three of us had the opportunity ask about our dogs at channeling events. We wanted to know if the dogs were okay, how much longer they might live, if they were content, and if there was anything we could do to ease their passing. We received three very different answers and realized that animals have unique roles to play in each lifetime, just as we do.

This is what we heard:

Vincent

Vincent thought he was your boyfriend. He didn’t care for your hubby or your children, as much as he cared for you. He reincarnated from boyfriend energy. Vincent came to go through life with you as your lover, your pal, and your friend.

He doesn’t want to let go. He is one determined pup. I don’t know how long he said he would follow you, but that time has not yet come. When you speak to him, tell him that it is okay to leave. Tell him that his purpose and mission have been well accomplished, completed, acknowledged, valued, and cherished.

He has loved, instructed, and guided your other dogs.

You will know when he is ready to leave. Pets let you know. You will see that there is a change in the vibration in which this wonderful, wonderful companion looks at you. When he says, “I’ve got to go,” you will let him go. You have that love and you will know. He will be fully alive until he is not.

He will not lie to you. He will let you know.

There is a wisdom in Vincent. He’s not ready to exit, even though the vessel is tired. He is aware of his continuous energy. He sees himself going on, even if the body doesn’t cooperate. He has the wisdom to know that when the body wants to shed, he’ll keep going freely until he decides to inhabit another body. It’s a very wise observation with which he lives.

Maggie

Maggie came to be family energy. When the family spun into their own individual families, Maggie’s ailments began. She felt like everyone went in their own direction. "Where was the tribe? Where was the group? Where was the family?" She is going through growing pains related to the family growing and shifting. She wonders, “Where is the gang?”

She has her time frame picked out, but you may not be ready to let her go and that is why we hesitate to tell you the amount of time she has left. When they sense you aren’t ready to let them go, they stay out of love.

Let her know that she has been great family. She will be great family on the other side. She will still be a part of the pack.

She doesn’t want to be someone who abandoned you like the other ones did. She feels the others abandoned you. She doesn’t want to abandon you like the others, because she knows how that felt.  

Gracie

Gracie considers herself to be your baby. She doesn’t care how many other babies you’ve got.

Gracie is very loyal. She believes that if she passed, she would be leaving you guys.

Gracie is savoring what you are all put here to savor: the touching, the feeling, the emotional feel of love manifest. Love is. Gracie is soaking in the lovies, the touch, the warmth, the feeling, and will stay as long as she can for that. She knows that when she gets on the other side, that won’t be there and that is what she came and incarnated in this life to have and be and do.

She was your baby, and is your baby. She loves being babied.

You can talk to her out loud and let her know that it okay to go whenever she is ready to leave. There is a loyalty here. You guys go way back. You need to give her permission to go.

Let her know that she has loved you completely and that you will see her on the other side. Tell her she can go when she is ready. You have spoken about this to spirit, but it needs to be relayed to your precious little girl. She isn’t getting the message. She is loyal. She is going to hang on and hang on. You need to state that she can go. You need to tell her that you understand. You will see her on the other side.



Animals incarnate for the same reasons we do: to have experiences, to love and be loved, and to enjoy the senses of smell, taste, and touch. They come for the joy of life.

Why do couples often die so closely in time?

When two people are deeply connected and one crosses to The Other Side, the person who remains on Earth may feel as if their heart is broken. They grieve. They may take advantage of the next exit point which comes their way, and cross over.

In addition, the person who passed first may beckon the second person to, “Come on over. The water’s fine.” When a loved one calls from The Other Side, the living person can choose to say “no” or decide to say, “yes.” The second person may be able to hear the first person clearly, but be reluctant to share this information with their family.

Choosing to follow their beloved is why two people may cross within days, or months, of each other.

Last week, I was too busy to write a full blog post. This week, I’m sharing another piece of my “busy-ness.” On Saturday, our daughter married her long-time boyfriend. They had a small, private ceremony. Afterwards, we all went to dinner.

Today, on Valentine’s Day, I am sharing our good news with you and wondering if you have advice for the newlyweds. Feel free to share your thoughts in the Comments section, or to e-mail them to me so I can pass them on to my daughter and her . . . . husband.

This is what Spirit advised:

“To be a success is to love and be loved. The reason people are around lovers is that there is a radiance, a knowing. It is wonderful to feel people in love. Savor every moment.

“Nothing is worth bickering about and losing that sacred treasuredness. Pick your words with love.

“In this society, people have a beautiful union, then they have an argument or two. They haven’t learned how to discuss things in that special kind of love. They shatter each other. Then, they regret it and they rebuild with a lot of patience, love, kindness, and time. They rebuild the vase, but it will never be as beautiful, or as precious, as it was. It may not even hold water.

“Some things cannot be taken back. If you are not going to speak in love and kindness to build a person up, you have no right to destroy them. No matter how upset you are. No matter how right you think your are.

“When something upsets you, you can say, ‘This is who this person is and this is how I am affected by them.’ Then, you can choose to stay with them or to move on.

“Keep your words sweet because you will have to live with them. The greatest hurt is knowing that you hurt your beloved. We can forgive and we can say we forgot, but the words that hit our core, where we are weakest, will shatter us in ways that the person saying them may not even know.

I asked, “How should people choose the person they are going to marry?”

The answer: “Don’t ‘choose,’ feel.

“The biggest mistakes are made when people choose. They choose an educated person, a healthy person, a pleasant person. That is very good. But if there isn’t that love, that heart-spark connection, they will be two very nice people living in peace. That is neither love, nor passion, nor what gives you the spark to create in life.

“Feel.”

“You cannot desire what is not already within you. If you desire the spark of the Divine to illuminate you on your path, remember that the spark of the Divine resides within you. As a co-creator, you can turn up that pilot light.

"The things you seek are within you and meant to manifest, or you would not have that heartfelt desire. Walk in confidence.”

I’ve been busy with the International Gem Show which is in Tucson right now, last Sunday’s Psychic Fair, and moving an art gallery. With all that’s going on, I haven’t written an insightful post today, but I thought I would share a few photos from the week.

One more note: At the Psychic Fair, I had two really interesting conversations with living people and one kind of disappointing conversation with a dead one. When I get a chance, I will write about these folks.

I asked a few people if they wanted to talk about their good experiences at the Mystic Messengers Psychic Fair. I was pleased to hear how readings had improved peoples’ lives.

1) Vee said, “I had the pleasure and the privilege of getting a reading from Kat. [Kat Riegel communicates with animals].

"I wanted to check in on my two fur babies. Kat confirmed a lot, including the age of one of the cats. She confirmed that they were happy and healthy. “Margarita brought it to light. She made me see what I really am. She saw who I was without knowing. Without the discussion. Without me saying, ‘I’ve been studying shamanism for 15 years.’

“I had asked my teacher, ‘How do you know when you are a shaman?’ He had said, ‘You’re a shaman when someone else tells you that you are a shaman.’ You don’t go out claiming to be a shaman. It was very interesting because she is the one who told me. I did not know it. Really, I didn’t know.”

3) Elita told me how much she enjoyed working with Karreen Martin. She recounted:

“I always have very good readings with Karreen. To me, she is very balanced and goes to the heart of the matter. The more things she says, I’m sitting there going, “Yes, yes.” It’s not just because I want to hear it. It’s stuff where I am saying, ‘You are right. I do that.’ She hits on key words and identifies what is going on.

4) Twinfeathers provided a Testimonial for Ruth at Rare Heart Healing Art. Ruth is an energy worker.

5) Margarita shared a story about the rewards of doing her work. She said that a man had walked by her table. She had made an observation and given him a message. He had been puzzled and had stopped. Margarita had said a few more things and she had seen the light go on in his eyes. As he sat down, he said, “Do you realize that this made everything in my life make sense?” He said a few more things and Margarita received additional information. They had a brief exchange, not a full reading, but Margarita could see how this man’s life had changed. His belief system had changed.

6) Over the years, I have received amazing readings from many Intuitives. Two recent readings surprised me. Two different psychics suggested that I needed to be more open to receiving gifts from people and from the universe. I was blocking the energy which might allow me to succeed at my work. Really? I had thought I was pretty open. When I heard the message twice, I had to stop and think, “How can I be more open to receiving?” There is always room for improvement.

Since my mother passed away, I have received several messages from her. I am sitting with these messages and I plan to blog about them in the next few months. The story continues.

In January, a woman named Twinfeathers was walking through the Psychic Fair playing a Native American flute. I asked why.

Twinfeathers answered:

“I do sound healing and heart songs using my voice and instruments, such as Native American flutes and drums. I have been doing sound healings for a long time. I’ve been singing and sounding all my life. It’s been part of my evolution.

“Sound is the heart of my gift. Mostly, I use my voice. I think that human voice is the most healing sound to the human being. This work feels wonderful to everyone who participates, including me.

“I also facilitate ‘echoes of love’ experiences where we go into echoey places as a group and sound together. It creates beautiful vibrations and overtones. Being surrounded by our own voices is extremely healing.

“I have studied other energy modalities, become adept at them, then integrated everything.

“I am not a reader, but if I am guided to share something, I will. I have pretty good psychic abilities. I channel them into music. My intuition is for me to use to navigate my day.

“When someone comes to me, I discern, I intuit, what flutes or sounds that being needs. I scan their body sonically with whatever device I am using, my voice or a flute. Then I listen and translate what I hear into an experience for them. I translate it into sound using the flute, voice, or drum.

It’s been a long time since I’ve featured a psychic on the blog, so today I am presenting Patricia Kirkman’s story. Patricia is a Numerologist, Astrologer, and Intuitive

Patricia Kirkman has offered intuitive readings in the Tucson area since 1994. She always knew she had abilities, but she didn’t realize that they were psychic abilities until she was in high school.

Years later, after her first husband passed away, Patricia went to an astrologer who provided an insightful reading for her and she started taking lessons. Thoughts come to her and answers come out of her mouth. She believes that we all have intuitive abilities, we just use them differently.

When Patricia sees clients, she gives them “a road map of their life” that they can take when they leave so they can do their own work. She is a guide. She shows clients around their lives, but their actions are their own choices. She tells people about their options and their potential lessons. According to Patricia, people know that there are certain lessons that they need to learn, but they don’t always recognize them until they are in the middle of the lessons. Sometimes people repeat patterns and it helps to have someone point out what is happening. Then, it is up to the client to make changes. If people repeat issues and have trouble understanding their life lessons, Patricia can help them learn to change the way they use their energies.

At one point, Patricia worked in the Human Resources department of a large corporation. Her intuitive abilities helped her understand which candidates would be good employees and showed her ways to cope with workplace issues.
