Recently, I heard two theories about why we are so divided in our thinking about the United States. We have two completely different philosophies about how to move forward.
The first theory is that we are divided because it’s human nature to think that we have to conquer people, animals, and nature. In the past, we needed to do this for survival. Some people still cling to the idea of conquering others. However, now that we have survived this far, our thinking can evolve. Some people are choosing a gentler, more inclusive, path forward.
Information for the first idea came in a message channeled by a psychic. I will share that message below.
The second theory is that we have two distinct mindsets in the United States and that is why we can’t agree on how to run our society. One side is picking winners and losers in a zero sum battle. You either win or you lose.
The other side is looking at moral and ethical issues and trying to figure out how everyone can win a slice in an ever-expanding pie.
One side is demanding winners and losers. The other side is looking at right and wrong, and demanding justice.
Can we come together and look at what is best for society? I hope so.
I want the world to coexist in peace. I would like for us to look out for the greatest good of all concerned, not just any particular individual’s interests.
I want democracy and the pursuit of happiness.
This is the message which was channeled by a psychic on April 22. It explained why people think in terms of winners and losers, and how we can move beyond that mindset.
“History will continue to repeat itself. Many a settler came here to find peace from persecution of religious beliefs, of limitations; a peace and a freedom that they thought they could establish. However, they found an established arena already here. The ingrained traits of ‘me over you’ cleared out many, many innocent lives. This is human nature.
“In order to evolve and move to another level, an individual needs to seek a higher knowing; needs to have within them the propellant, the energy, to search for ‘more-being-more.’
“To live together in peace and harmony takes a higher knowledge, a higher desire. It takes wisdom to understand that your greatest good and my greatest good are interconnected. As long as we look at the greater good of another individual as, ‘Darn, now I have less or they have more,’ or we look at the interconnectedness and say, ‘They took from me,’ we are failing to see ‘You are me. I am you. We are us.’ There is no ‘versus.’
“We need to understand as a society, as human beings, as elemental energy ourselves, that it is not one side over another. We have been indoctrinated from day one through games, sports, and everything we see in history. All of it has been ‘the victor,’ ‘the leader,’ ‘the stronger,’ and ‘the power over.’
“There has not been respect for establishments which lived in peace and harmony, and shared. Too many viewed that as, ‘They took from my farm. I'm now becoming what they used to call, back in the 60s, a communistic country. Now, we all have to be socialists.’
“‘Community’ is not a bad word. There needs to be a re-establishment of what it is to be a peaceful environment, society, community, that is not seen as socialist or communist. It is community and thinking of society first.
“This may not happen for many generations. You have the power to rise above this and shake it off, or to self-destruct.
“It happens to relationships when one party wants to be correct against the other party and they destroy the relationship for the cost of being right.
“Or those who refuse to say, ‘You stepped on my toes,’ then harbor resentment because their toes have been stepped on for so long.
“There needs to be a way in which you can speak in peace with each other, without destroying each other.
“Acknowledging the divine in each other requires that you see the divine within you. There are many, many walking wounded who do not see the divine within themselves, much less the divine in others.
“If you cannot recognize within yourself the ability to be in each individual’s shoes, with love and compassion, you will not understand this world, its politics, its ways.
“If we could give a word to each individual, it would be to heal as deeply as you can. To love yourself as strongly and purely, as you can. To be as least-judgmental of yourself as you can. For only starting within, can things change on what is, and isn't, appropriate behavior for self or others.”

“Winners and losers” versus “right and wrong.” What an interesting way to think about our current situation.
