I learn so much from the e-mails which blog readers send to me. They share their personal experiences with energy (walking down the road, turning street lights on and off), their near-death experiences, and their encounters with ghosts, spirits, and angels. Wow. These encounters are more prevalent than we might think.
About a month ago, one of the blog readers sent a compilation of her experiences to me. She has had encounters with ghosts, spirits, animal ghosts, elementals, aliens, etc. In her honest writing, she says that she knows what some encounters are, but others are unclear. With some odd things, she is not sure if the event was an other-worldly phenomenon, or just a passing breeze.
This woman wrote that she isn’t usually afraid of ghosts. She has conversations with them. However, if they are unpleasant dead people, she sends them light and love. Spirits of the dark cannot handle the light, so they move away from her. I hadn’t realized that this was how things worked.
Among her experiences, she has met a spirit who was waiting to be born, spoken with ghosts who protect her property, encountered a spirit entity living in a truck (like “My Mother the Car”), heard voices when no one else was in the room, seen her animals after they had passed into spirit, and seen the spirits of her animals running around and playing, while the actual, live animal was sleeping. She reports that dogs and cats see the same ghost animals she sees. Their eyes track the same phenomenon which she is observing.
I’m going to share two stories with you today. One is from this woman. This story touched my heart. The second story comes from a different blog reader. He recounted his near-death experience.
1) The Tree
I have an ongoing relationship with the Elemental Kingdom.
Years ago when I was walking down the sidewalk from my apartment complex, a sapling tree had fallen over on the sidewalk. I heard a hundred tiny voices saying, “Please help us!”
I asked, “Are you broken?”
“No, no, no. We just fell over.”
I struggled and struggled with the twelve foot sapling and forced some of its branches back on either side of two stakes that were supposed to hold it up.
As I walked away, I heard a hundred tiny voices saying, “Thank you!”
Some twelve to fifteen years later, I am walking along the same path and come to that tree. Now, it has three trunks and is full and beautiful.
I say out loud, “You are so beautiful.”
I hear a voice, “I remember you. You are the lady who helped us.”
I said, “You sound much older.”
It replied, “I grew with the tree.”
These kinds of experiences make my day soar!
2) When Sleep becomes a Near-Death Experience (NDE)
In my dream, I was submerged in extremely deep water, either in the ocean or a lake or a very, very deep swimming pool. I didn’t see anything around me except water and a few bubbles. I held my breath as long as I could. When I couldn’t hold it any longer, I breathed in. To my surprise, I was able to breathe the water just like it was air. I thought, “This must be what it’s like to be a fish.”
I floated there, breathing water for a while, then I started drifting upward. My ascent increased in speed and, eventually, I was moving very fast. I shot out of the water and into the air, like I was a missile. I went higher and higher into the air and eventually reached the clouds. I moved well above the clouds and into the outer limits of the atmosphere. Then, I left the planet entirely and went into space.
I floated around in space for a while. I saw billions and billions of bright points of light all around me, mostly at a distance, but some fairly close. I gazed around at all of them. Maybe I was rotating? I remember being profoundly amazed by the lights. I don’t recall why I was so impressed. Maybe it was a combination of the sheer number of them, how bright they were, and how beautiful they were?
After a while, one light drew my attention. Maybe it was a little brighter or more shimmery than the others? In any case, I rocketed towards it. I got to it fairly quickly.
As I got closer, I could see it was a planet. It was definitely not the earth, and I thought, “This is really, really cool.” I entered the planet’s atmosphere. I descended fairly quickly, but not like a rocket; more like a fast-moving parachute.
It was night as I approached the ground surface and, from an elevation that would probably be equivalent to a bird or low-flying plane, I noticed a white farmhouse standing alone in a remote rural area. From the minimal light of the night sky, I could see farms, pastures, and forests. I had the sense that the state of technology/society must have been similar to that of America in the 1800s or early 1900s, probably because the architecture of the house looked to be of that time period. I didn’t see any roads, cars, planes, etc., which would indicate it was an older house that remained in the modern era.
I descended toward the farmhouse, slowed to a speed equivalent to walking, and somehow floated through the closed front door. At this point, I realized I didn’t have a regular body and I thought I must have been a ghost or something. Right in front of me was a stairway leading up to the second floor. I floated up the stairway and into a hall. I stopped at a door on my left and floated through that. It might have been open a crack, but it might have been closed. I don’t remember.
I saw a baby sleeping in a crib and I floated into the baby. It was like a soul entering a body, like you’d see in a movie with ghosts, souls, afterlife, etc.
Once I was in the baby I remember thinking, “Wow, this is what it’s like to be a baby.” Then I thought, “I’m pretty hungry. I guess since I’m a baby I should start screaming because I can’t get up and get myself a snack.” I started screaming. Within a few seconds, the awareness and memories of me as myself - a regular person on earth - disappeared and I was just the baby with no memory of anything except being hungry.
I woke up, sweating and gasping for breath like I often do when I wake up from a deep state of sleep apnea.
I don’t know what to make of it. I guess I think of it as a dream and, if so, it was by far the coolest dream I’ve ever had. But I think it would also qualify as a NDE brought on by lack of oxygen due to my heart and respiration being extremely low because of sleep apnea.

Personal experience. It means everything . . . even if we don’t know exactly what it means. These experiences can confirm that there is more to life than this physical world. At a minimum, they can open our minds to questions and possibilities.
Thanks for sharing your stories with me!
