Quotes from a Psychic - Tarot Card Readings
Maryushka is a Tarot Card reader in Connecticut. When I interviewed her several years ago, she explained why she used Tarot Cards. This is what she told me:
“When we do a reading, I get what the client wants by asking them. First we do a soul reading. Almost everybody wants their soul reading. They want to see where they are in the world. They want information about themselves. But it’s not about specific situations; it’s about them in the world.
“Then, we can be as specific as they want. They can ask questions about anything, anybody, any person (living or dead), any situation. Most people have a situation which has driven them to come for a reading. Some come with a list of questions. Some come with a troubling situation about their mother. So we look at their mother in several different layouts until we have examined the question, or the situation, in many different ways and we are all clear.
“Information comes through the cards. The picture comes and what comes out of my mouth, comes out of my mouth. It comes from the Universal Source which I have requested. I say what I see. I say what I get.”
“I see three cards, I never use less than three of anything. They tell a story. They are all triads and they tell a story.”
“People have free will. That is why I don’t tell people what to do. I’m telling them what is. We are illuminating their situation. We are illuminating a story. What they do with this is what the person does with it. By helping them see it in many different ways, they come to their own conclusion about how they want to address the issue, think about it, jiggle it around in their gut. Nowhere am I telling them what to do.”
I asked, “What happens if you see something negative in the cards? Are you able to tell people bad news? How do you handle that?” Maryushka answered:
“Yes, I am able to tell them bad news. I am able to tell them that if they continue to do thus and so, this will be the result. We both see it in the cards and it doesn’t look pretty. What does that tell you? Time to make a change.”
