“You are body, mind, and spirit. You are not just one of those aspects. You are all of them. Those of you who are very focused on spirit alone, your body has gone amuck. You think spirit is going to sustain it. It needs you to self-sustain in order for spirit to work in cooperation with your vessel. Some people are so busy treading water, so busy making a living, that they are using only two legs of that three-legged stool which is why they are off-balance.
“Mind is the same. People who have not given time to expanding their mind, to keeping it growing, and to entertaining new thoughts, stay in the same safe arena. They aren’t growing. They aren’t learning. But, they are safe.”
It is important to look at the big picture of who we are. We are energetic beings coming into physical bodies for lifetimes of experience. At the end of each lifetime, we return to the non-physical world to assess all we have accomplished and to determine if we want to come back to Earth and try something new. We live multiple lifetimes.
Even if we are uncertain about this cycle of reincarnation, it is wise to wonder if it might be possible, because this view broadens our perspective.
Why we have a body
Our body houses our soul. A body allows our soul to manipulate objects and to interact with other souls in physical form. We can learn more in one lifetime on Earth, in a body, than we can over a thousand year period on The Other Side. Here, we see the results of our actions.
In bodies, we can see, smell, touch, eat chocolate, and have other sensory experiences. We can gather experiences for our growth, test ourselves, see what we have learned, master manifestation, and convey these experiences through our Higher Self back to Source.
In the spirit world, we don’t have these physical abilities, so we are advised to cherish them while on Earth. Sitting in nature, we can feel the breeze, smell fragrances, see beauty, hear sounds, and taste fruit. We can sit back, relax, and enjoy this trip as we explore our environment and get to know ourselves.
How bodies are created
We pick our parents before we are born. We generally select them for the situation they provide: the part of the world, the economic strata, and the community (tribal? metropolitan?). When we choose them, we buy into the family’s genetic lineage which suggests attributes like the shape of our nose, our height, and our propensity for certain illnesses.
However, there is more to the creation of our bodies than genetics. We are a form of energy, we have a soul, and we are linked to the entire unseen universe. We have a storehouse of experiences from previous lifetimes which may affect our physical form. We also have the opportunity to choose the kind of body we need so that we can have the experiences we seek. For example, we may want to experience some kind of incapacity, so we create a body with that “weakness.”
Here is one more idea relating to body creation. Some people believe that “elementals” create form. Elementals are like tiny angels which create, maintain, and heal bodies. They also created Mother Earth, and they maintain the plants and animals.
Coming into a body
To use a body, we have to compress our infinite energy into a tiny form. This happens before birth and also happens when returning from near-death experiences during which our consciousness has expanded to touch the universe.
Susan Sampson channeled this message:
“When souls come into this world, they are anxious. They have to take the magnificence of who they are and condense it down to fit into this tiny little baby. Sometimes they don’t enter the tiny baby until the moment of birth, or two weeks before, or a month before. Generally, they don’t join that baby until very close to birth.”
“Coming to this third dimensional reality, the soul has to condense itself, has to quiet itself, and has to prepare to be non-communicative. They can’t speak. How do they get their diaper changed? They holler. They learn that very quickly.”
Each body has is to step down the universal energy, so that it can function. The Higher Self manages this process.
Changing bodies for new lifetimes
At the end of each lifetime, we lay the body down and return to the non-physical world. We leave the vessel as if it’s clothing, and we step “naked” to the other side. For the next lifetime, we can step into a new wardrobe, a new physical body.
Who we are, is not contained in the vessel. Many people lay it down like a wardrobe of clothing and transfer freely.
Life force
Life force from Source flows through bodies. So long as we are creating experiences and have a desire to live, to share, and to teach, life force continues to flow.
When we lose the desire to participate in life and to create new experiences, life force stops flowing and we cross over. Our Higher Self and our consciousness dictate how long we live.
Encouraging life force to flow, improves health because it allows cells to express their divinity and to absorb energies from Source.
Energy connection though the Aura and the Chakras
During our lifetime, our body maintains its connection with the non-physical world. We live in a multi-dimensional, universal energy field. Bodies have personal energy fields and points for connection to this larger, non-physical universal energy system. The personal and universal energy systems interact through each person’s aura and chakra systems.
The aura is a multi-layered, subtle energy field, which surrounds the body. It is thought to have seven layers. Psychics who read auras are seeing this subtle energy field around the body.
Chakras are energy portals which run through the physical body, connecting it to the universal energy system.
Conclusion
Any way we think about it, our body is an amazing system. We breathe air and circulate oxygen to each cell. We eat food, digest, take what we need, and eliminate the rest. Our muscles move us wherever we want to go. The body is a marvel. Then, when we think about the body being connected to a larger universal energy system, the whole idea is astounding.
We are walking miracles.
