When we think about an inheritance, we usually think about money coming to us from a deceased relative. However, Spirit told us that there are two kinds of inheritance. One is money. One is karmic.
Spirit said:
“‘Inheritance’ is a very interesting word. Inheritance usually means something is coming down through family, like money. Inheritance can also come from what we call ‘karmic build up.’ Karmic build up comes down through the ages.
“A person living a very peaceful, tranquil life, which is strange and foreign to their family tree, may be benefiting from a karmic build up. The peace and tranquility that this person lives is different from the life which any of their siblings has ever lived or will ever live. This peace and tranquility is an inheritance which is coming upon them, being showered upon them through the heavens, reflecting the way that they have lived their other lives in pursuit of being more loving, more accepting, more understanding, more intuitive, and more giving.
“This will continue all the days of their life.”
Our lives are lived on a continuum which flows from one lifetime to another. Events and longings can be carried over from past lifetimes and can flow into future lifetimes. We don’t have to achieve all of our goals in this particular period. Living occurs over a tremendous scope of lifetimes.
I have a few friends who long for experiences they have not had in this lifetime. One is longing to be a grandmother. Another is longing for that one special love which lasts. One is longing for sustained health. This may not be the lifetime for those experiences. Perhaps these longings will be fulfilled in their next life.
Each lifetime brings gifts from the past and challenges to pursue. Everyone has a few special advantages, but no one has everything.
